No, I'm no longer a moderator. My opinion is the following: This has nothing to do with NS/DS, mind you. They're doing a fantastic job and their releases are consistently excellent. We know companies' figures, more or less. They don't sell 5.000.000 copies of a dvd. They sell 3.000, when they're really good. Companies should fucking stop to mislead the fans and the consumers. What for? Attracting the casual video renter? About Hustler: I can't check Sup14 now, but I'm pretty sure there's no dap in it. Ironically, the Euro version has a "tame" cover and Sup gets renamed "SuperHighlights" or something like that. Anyway, V. Virgin's edit is the only one that I know of. Just a few months ago, Hustler has reprinted Dora Venter's dap so there's no logic.
I just checked my copy of Superfuckers 14 btw and it's the european version after all (from Anchora in Amsterdam). For a moment I thought I was screwed.
You mean if Lecastel is still with Private? Not to my knowledge. It seems he's fulltime at Digital Sin but it seems both Private and Anabolic still have stuff of him in stock.
...I don't have the Superfuckers any more but I don't recall any dap, damn, I don't even remember a dp in Ester/Vanessa Virgin scene. Further more, if you read my review, I was complaining that the second guy Woodman used was just sitting there doing nothing besides jerking off (which seem odd) ...now it makes sense, the guy did his job really, the edited dap make him look like if he was just sitting there doing nothing for too long. ..Shame on you Hustler! ...Woodman always used to use girls for daps and double vaginal here and there in his Private videos. If you don't have Woodman in a leach or editing out his stuff, then why daps and dpps went missing in action right after he started working for you? ..just a honest question from a dedicated Woodman fan ...Just let me congratulate you on the inprovement of Woodman's other series like Anal Intensive & Hustler xxx, great video quality! ..now if you could let Woodman make his feature films as hardcore as the gonzo ones, I'll be on my way to buy them too

If there is indeed no DAP on the U.S version, but there is one on the European version, the only plausible explanation is that one of our editors thought that daps or dpps were not approved.
Considering that Woodman sends us his edited version, and all we do is cleanup on the title (audio etc), no other explanation makes sense.
If this proves to be the case, we'll put the scene as a bonus on Manipulation (our new Woodman feature out in a couple of months) and anyone who has posted on this thread will be sent a free copy.
As for whether we edit out any of Woodman's material, this does happen on occasion. We do listen to legal advice, but at the same time LFP has never backed down from potential trouble if the situation warrants it. Interestingly, after final editing a Woodman title, we send the master to our licensee for European release. How the dap got back on the title is another question which we'll look into (although this is obviously the one positive in all of this).
Wally, as for your 'shame on you Hustler', I think that comment is more appropriate in the event there is wilful deception or an effort to screw the consumer. We're involved with ADT because we want open dialog and we welcome feedback, both positive and negative.
However, to give the impression that we're sitting in our offices devising ways to screw the customer over is simply false, and somewhat discouraging. As the post on 'Harder, Faster' demonstrates, companies mess-up-it's called human error, and it isn't always down to corporate machinations.
It just doesn't make sense to alienate customers, and we don't benefit from removing scenes if we have no legal cause to do so.
On the other hand Wally, than you very much for applauding the improvement in Anal Intensive and Hustler XXX! We'll let you know what 'Manipulation' offers by way of hardcore action asap.

Editing out a DAP...damn! I still cannot believe it! Hope this can happen only in the US...
Hi Ramsey-the scenario below is the usual occurrence. However, on occasion we do remove scenes which we consider to be physically or verbally degrading to women. I very much doubt that the daps were removed for this reason, though. Rather than get into the subjective merits of what is and isn't degrading to women (Andrea Dworkin would say all porn is degrading to women), we try to strike the right balance between pleasing the customer and acting responsibly.
As for whether the U.S and European versions should be the same: Because we provide our European licensee with a finished, audio-cleaned version, they should always be the same. That's what we're looking in to. What could possibly have happened is that the ommission was noticed on the U.S version and was changed in time for the European release. I'll know more next week, though!
This could be the problem right here. I mean why not let us fans decide what's degrading or not? I mean what's the point of releasing hardcore movies if you're gonna remove all the hardcore stuff?

I didn't mean to be so harsh with my coments (but the dap was missing indeed ..Please acept my apologizes. ...The good thing is that Hustler is listening to the customer and trying to fix any mistake that might have been done while editing some of those Woodman videos. As you said there is always the human error factor.you are more than welcome, the video quality is great. About info on the Manipulation video, please do, I'm very interested in the cast of Manipulation and what those hotties may do ...Just wondering but any idea on re-editing old Hustler xxx titles (like #8, #11 with the new, inproved image quality? ..I'll be willing to buy them again if you do that.
I think it's a good idea to re-edit some of the older titles. It might cost more than it makes, but as you noted, we've made a commitment to a higher quality than before, and this is something that should be done as a matter of course. It might take a little time, but it would definitely be worth it for Hustler and for supporters like yourself.
