Have a great laptop and a 46in high def flat screen tv. But when I hdmi cable the laptop to the tv. Attempting to make the tv like a giant monitor it loses it's crisp edge and I wind up watching more of the action from my laptop screen than my tv. Any tips? Check your pc video card properties to see what external video resolution(s) it supports. Choose the maximum resolution your PC can output, which your TV can support. Or try this: Leave the PC powered off until after you have powered on the TV and selected HDMI input. Then power up the PC. Some systems seem to automatically get things right when using this sequence. Also see this thread for possible solution http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/355020-33-hdmi-makes-terrible |
