Sorry I was a little cryptic. Name some girls that have progressed from softcore features such as those on Cinemax and such as well as regular cinema that have progressed into hardcore careers.

The list is quite long, and perhaps it has been addressed before. Marilyn Chambers was in and out of hardcore and softcore movies but started in mainstream. Colleen Brennan also started out in softcore (under another name). Linda Roberts has done softcore, dramatic mainstream and hard-core movies. Kelli McCarty was Miss USA 1991, did a number of softcore movies and a few months back did a hc movie for Vivid. In Europe Lili Carati was also a former beauty queen, did several dramtic mainstream movies and sex comedies and then a couple of hard-core (one shot in the USA). Karin Schubert did many mainstream movies and did much late in life did some hardcore movies.

The problem is that for many performers IMDB seems to be "hiding" filmographies of actos/actresses/directors who have had a mainstreamn AND porn career. Linda Roberts' husband is not only an actor and director, but is well known in Hollywood mainstream movies as an armorer.
Jack Baker had a mainstream movie and TV career before getting into porn.
Paul Baresi had small parts in mainstream movies beforre moving on to gay and straight hc movies.
Italian actress Milly D'Abbraccio did a few mainstream movies before turning to porn.
Janine did a few action and soft mainstream movies before doing hardcore.
Actor Sonny Landham did some mainstream movie work and then later was in and out of both mainstream and hc movies for quite some time.
Angelique Pettyjohn appeared in some mainstream movies and even a "Star Trek" TV episode before doing a couple of hardcore movies under another name.

IMDB isn't hiding them. Are you sure you have the preference set on IMDB to show adult movies?

Where is that "preference" setting you speak of?
If you do a name search for Gerard Damiano it brings us the filmo of "Shaun Costello". If you do a search for Leslie Bovee nothing turns up, and so on...

Click on Len801's account on IMDB. Enter your username/password. Update your search preferences. And check Search Adult Titles/Names (When this option is enabled Adult Titles and Adult Names (which are names that only have credits for Adult titles) will be included in searches.)
When searching Gerard Damiano, Shaun Costello comes up since some prints of Waterpower incorrectly listed Gerard Damiano as the director.

Thanks Flash. If that means I have to register to gain access (which is NOT indicated that adult filmographies is what you are going to get by so registering), they want to know too much personal information about myself (age, country, and most of all the zip code. Once I give them that, then I might as well give them the name of all family members, my dog's name, my bank accounts, and send them a picture of the family posing in front of the Christmas tree).
What I find funny is some adult filmographies can be accessed in IMDB in a roundabout way (once you know one director or performer name you can do a lot of cross access by way of cast names in each film), while other names or filmographies just don't show up.
I am aware of the Costello connection with Damiano with relation of WATER POWER. I have heard that Damiano "lent" his name (possibly for finacial reasons) to the film, but he did not direct it.

Len, you can give the IMDB total bogus info, just use a throwaway email account. I did.
Actually, just looking at my account, they only have an email account for me, the rest is optional.

I understand Jacco, but I find it totally useless to go through that "fake" process (not only for IMDB, but for many sites that "require" and "insist" on that type of information). If the majority of the people are registering with fake infos and throwaway e-mail addresses, what is the whole purpose of asking for information?
Yes, I have heard and read some funny reasons for this, like "we need to know this to insure you are an adult". Well how the heck do they insure that it's all fake?
At the end of the day, for a number of sites, just to read or access some information they all want personal information and e-mail addresses (and you'd be surprised about the spam messages you get in that throaway e-mail address, even though they have promised they will keep it confidential and will NOT trade it without anyone else). IMDB really has not reason for asking.

The don't seem to spam. They have my real address and have for over 10 years and I don't get much spam at that address (maybe 2 per week). I can't say those are a result of IMDB because some other companies have that address too.

I was in no way suggesting IMDB spams your e-mail address. I was just making the case that often when you register for these sites, you get hit with spam, which can only mean that they want your e-mail address not for any security concern ("we only require it to make sure you are an adult", and so on) but to spam you.
I cannot understand the reason for IMDB to ask you to register just so you can access the "adult" content. What content could possibly corrupt a minor if you acccess the filmography of Gerard Damiano and other adult performers. There are plenty of "R" and "NC-17" (with explicit sexual contant) rated titles easily accessible to ALL on IMDB. And no registration is required to access the IAFD, EGAFD, EBI databases.
At the same time, I don't understand why you you do NOT need to register to access box covers in certain on-line adult distributors (Excalibur, Jadedvideo and a handful of others like AEBN) but for the rest you need to register to either see a large(r) scan or back cover of the DVD box. This is true for American and well as many Euro sites.

There are other preferences you need to register to use as well, it's not just adult. I'm sure somehow they mine the data for their parent company Amazon. The way I figure it though if Amazon already has my data, they gain nothing from IMDB having it. Especially since Amazon doesn't sell porn so they can't spam me regarding the porn titles I look up.

Hey guys, thanks for the heads up in regard to the hidden feature/setting on IMDB. I use that site now and then for the last 10 years or so, I never knew this was an extra option.
BTW, I agree with Len, kinda weird to not tell on the imdb web-site that you'll be getting an additional feauture/setting for adult titles once you register and log in. If I knew that I would've get a free account 10 years ago!
I have one e-mail account I use for all my non private internet correspondance. It's full with spam (600 a month) but gmail does a good job filtering spam messages from nonspam messages. I "only" get 60 unwanted spammails a day. As lonf as you don't synchronize that e-mail account with your blackberry or iphone, you're okay, imo.
The only girl I know is playmate terry weigel. I think she started in softcore. Same for taylor st. clair. I remember seeing softcore movies on the european playboy channel.
If Len doesn't know more girls, then there arent'n anymore girls, lol.
Cheers!

You are right about Teri Weigel, she did do some softcore/mainstream work (RETURN OF THE KILLER TOMATOES, SUNSET, THE BANKER, SAVAGE BEACH, PREDAROR 2, etc) before she had that accident in 1990 and moved over to porn. What is unclear to me is that for years she could not advertise and market the fact she was a former Playboy playmate (they saw that as a registered trademark and an infringement of the Playboy and Playmate names). They had a very strained relationship, but in the past few months I see in video box covers featuring Weigel, Weigel being clearly referred as "former Playboy playmate". Does anyone know what happened and why is Playboy not longer aggressively prohibiting her from marketing her Playboy modeling?
Black actress Jaimee Foxworth was a child actresses in the TV series "Family Matters", then did some hc movies around 2001 under another name until she was found out and quickly disappeared. I think Zorina Dreams did one of two mainstream movies before hc. I believe the British Linzi Drew did mainstream work (AN AMERICAN WEREOLF IN LONDON before hc. Kelly Jaye was a cheerleader and did some mainstream movies (MALIBU DREAMS, etc)before turning to hc.
With regards to IMDB, until some months ago I had no problem whatsoever gaining access to porn performers' filmographies, but for past year or so, some show up (John Holmes, Georgina Spelvin, Linda Lovelace, etc) while some others don't (Rocco Siffredi, Gerard Damiano, etc). There is a marked inconsistency to this, and I don't know why. I see no reason to register just for the "adult" content (since SOME data is already freely available to all). I can't do a direct search of "Rocco Siffredi" at IMDB, but I can Google it and eaily/quickly get the link (as quickly as logging it with a registration), so why do I need to register?
IMDB does not explain why they NEED your e-mail account, age, country of residence and postal zip code. So are they tracking what type of searches or purchases you make there/Amazon?
Other sites (adult or otherwise) do not make a good case for obtaining similar personal information.

Edy Williams is an awful example of someone who did mainstream and softcore work then turned to porn. She did simulated sex for LADY LUST (1983,Caballero) (a very good example of marketing fakery, in which Caballero not only placed her on the box over to maximize sales, but made you believe Edy was engaging in explicit hc sex).
Edy took another stab at it some years later with another lesbian scene (with blonde performer Sandi Beach) in the movie SNATCH MASTERS 6 (1995) for Leisure Time. Here Edy only barely rubs her pussy (no insertions of any kind). Sandi barely kisses Edy's breasts and very briefly licks her pussy (which was looped several times to try to lengthen the scene). Edy in turn supposedly goes down on Sandy but nothing explicit is seen since Edy places herself and her long hair in a way that nothing is seen, which you can easily conclude that non explicit action was going on and she was faking it all. All in all, it is barely a hard "R" scene.

Well there was quite a bit of "pause" between LADY LUST (1983) in which she only did simulated sex, and SNATCH MASTERS 6 in 1995. From Caballero to Leisure Time was a heck of a career downturn.
Perhaps Edy badly needed money and perhaps may have originally been willing to go much farther than her original "experimentation" with porn. But physically she was not at the top of her form, and while she may have been slightly willing to have a girl barely go down on her, she definitely did not want to reciprocate and that part was really faked.

Since we are talking about Russ Meyer's women, let us not forget Kitten Natividad who also strayed into porn late in her life.
And with regards to "celebrities", there was Kathy Willets who did some mainstream movies and then hardcore movies for Seymore Butts.
Tammy Parks did a lot of softcore work in the 1990's and did a couple of hc movies like DINNER PARTY (1994,Adam & Eve)(g/g), EROTIC VISIONS (1995,Ultimate)(b/g) and STRAP-ON SALLY 8 (1995,Pleasure)(g/g).

Speaking of Russ Meyer chicks, Kitten Natividad's Swedish friend Uschi Digard started in softcore, but made at least 2 HC porn movies in the golden era of porn. Wikipedia is clearly not aware of the Argentinan released HC movies she did.

The only near-hardcore Uschi did in the US is a scene with black actor Johnnie Keyes. You can see Uschi grab and handle his dick (over her breasts), and place it near her mouth and give it a couple of tongue flicks. That's about as close she got in hc as far as I know.
I am not aware of any "Argentine" hc movie, and perhaps you can eleborate.

I answered your question via PM. Did it arrive, and if yes, do you need the specific location? A simple yes or no would suffice.
As you can see, I seem to have some problems with sending and receiving PM's:

I was not aware of the Private Message feature in this forum. I don't know how it works. I tried to follow the information on the link you provided and it does not work for me, and I'm not going to go crazy over this. Sorry. Was there something in the message that is not suitable for other members of this forum to see?

No ADT44, I am not a "rabid" hc movie collector, and will not go crazy for a scene or movie that is out of print/unavailable. If I can't get it by legitimate means, I pass on it. I don't trade or sell.

Terri Welles appeared as a centerfold in the December 1980 issue and was named Playmate of the Year for 1981.
In 1997, Welles started an online business selling pictures of herself. On her website, she described herself as a former Playboy model and Playmate of the Year. Playboy Enterprises, which was starting up its own online business at this time, sued Welles in 1998, claiming that it had the exclusive right to use of its trademark terms "Playboy" and "Playmate of the Year" for commercial purposes. The outcome of the suit was in favor of Terri Welles.
Playboy Enterprises, Inc. v. Welles, 279 F.3d 796 (9th Cir. 2002), is an influential United States Circuit Court decision from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit regarding nominative use of trademarks.

So Teri Weigel didn't/couldn't use the Playboy marketing until this case was settled in 2002. At that time she started to do less movies. Now in 2009 with Ms. Weigel trying to get out of porn and move into more mainstream work {while still doing adult movies using Playboy angle on covers, it's crazy I say}; she has started to use the Playboy Playmate angle to distance herself from porn; like on Twitter. Ms. Weigel's recent comments. I didn't think she was a Penthouse Pet like she says!

Thanks for the background info 90nine55. I will try to Google that decision to see what it says.
I don't know about those claims by Weigel that she was a Penthouse Pet. I was not aware of these claims, and I notice IMDB database indicates she was featured in the May 1992 "Penthouse" magazine (pg. 110-121, "Shooting Star"). I don't know if that was just a pictorial or whether as a Pet. Can anyone clarify?
I noticed that she also mentions in the interview that she had small roles in "Where the Boys Are" and "Scarface" (both made around 1983 I believe). IMDB does not list those movies. Can anyone confirm her appearance in those 2 movies (I presume a very small cameo, perhaps non-speaking role, as an extra perhaps?).
[Edit: I found this bio of Weigel at this site which may be of interest in clarifying the Penthouse connection: http://www.whosdatedwho.com/celebrities/people/dating/teri-weigel.htm
It quickly became obvious that Teri had outlived her usefulness as a Centerfold, and Playboy unceremoniously kicked her to the curb. (It was the beginning of an acrimonious relationship that continues to this day.) As mainstream jobs became increasingly fewer, Teri finally considered a career in hardcore porn - something no other Playboy Centerfold had ever done (or has done since). Because of this decision, Teri became persona non grata within Playboy, which has gone to extraordinary lengths to squelch her porn career. In one notable example, Hugh Hefner actually called Bob Guccione asking him not to make Teri a Penthouse Pet. As a result, she has appeared only in smaller pictorials.
According to this link: http://usedmagazines.com/titles/Penthouse/1992/
The May 1992 Penthouse Pet was a girl named "Jasmine", and that the Teri Weigel appearance in that issue was nothing more than a pictorial provided by Suze Randall. So then, Weigel's memory is either failing or she is being rather "creative" with her recollections of wanting to be a Penthouse Pet].

I actually have that Penthouse mag, and Teri isn't the Penthouse Pet of the Month. She just has a pictorial in it. Interesting how there is no mention from her of adult career at all in that video clip. She just did a live interview 12-4-09 at Naughty America, let's just say it was very, very interesting.

In another post we were discussing the career of Janette Littledove. She seems to be presently escorting in Miami. She smudges her facial features in her model page, and she only discloses her appearances in Playboy and Penthouse, but says absolutely NOTHING about her porn career.
Does that mean that a prospective client "values" more screwing a Playboy/Penthouse cover girl/Pet than a porn actress? It seems that way, and you can see it in the way Weigel in that interview makes a lot of hay regarding her modeling career.

Forgive me if I've missed any of these mentioned above:
Monique Gabrielle, Lisa Comshaw, and Julie K. Smith did some hardcore scenes for Purrfect Productions, Susan Lynn Kiger did a hardcore movie before she became a playmate, Karine Gambier, Kira Reed, Victoria Zdrok (mostly simulated, but she did handle a cock and I've seen recent pics of her with one in her mouth), Maruschka Detmers, Dany Verissimo, Carol Laure, Michelle Bauer, Chloe Sevigny, and Paola Senatore all come to mind. Andrea True made porn flicks in the '70's before making her hit single "More More More".

True about Monique Gabrielle and others your mentioned, but this was for internet sites and specially designed videos. They were not mass marketed (like regular VHS and DVD movies were at the time) as far as I know.
I think Kira Reed did only one hardcore movie BASICALLY BECCA (2001,Wicked) She also performed in hc videos/scenes with her husband and Billy Glyde if I'm not mistaken, but for her own website. I don't know whether those clips are still available.
Detmers was and remains a mainstream movie actress. She did not go from softcore to do hardcore movies in the true sense. She did a brief but explicit bj scene in DEVIL IN THE FLESH (1986) by Marco Bellocchio. But it would be unfair to begin citing all mainstream actresses who have done explicit sex scenes in a mainstream movie. There are a lot, starting with the Japanese controversial art movie IN THE REALM OF THE SENSES (1976).
We are basically talking about mainstream actresses who have crossed over to doing hard core movies. Paola Senatore fits this category, in that after a successful career in mainstream movies she did only one (and a very poor one at that) hard core movie called NON STOP. Andrea True does NOT fit this category as she did hardcore and segued off into a brief singing career with one hit disco tune.
Mason Marconi's career is a bit rather odd. She did some mainstream movies in the 1990's (SHOWGIRLS-1995, etc), then appeared in a couple of adult movies for Vivid (INDUSTRIAL SEX, GIRL WORLD 3) in 2001, but which were essentially non-sex roles. However for Purrfect Productions she did a brief scene in which she masturbates with a dildo and a male in the scene penetrates her with the vibrator.
The British blonde Louise Armani was a beauty contestant and model who appeared in one mainstream model in 1988 THE RACHEL PAPERS. Then in the early 1990's she appeared in a handful of hc movies, like AN AMERICAN BUTTMAN IN LONDON, and BUTTMAN'S EUROPEAN VACATION, Part II.
Georgina Spelvin did some mainstream movies and stage before her adult movie career.

I would say that Ginger Lynn qualifies for this thread; although she started out in porn she had a fairly extensive career in B-movies and mainstream TV appearances during the 1990s, before she returned to hardcore with her movie Torn. Nowadays she bounces between hardcore and mainstream; she had a part in the DTV movie American Pie: Band Camp.
Now would Shauna Sands qualify for this thread--or is her upcoming sex tape the only foray into porn she plans to make?

I can't see any of the these two women qualifying for that distinction.
Ginger Lynn did porn for a few years (I think between 1984 and 1986), left and tried to kickstart a mainstream movie career (as Ginger Lynn Allen) which really was not that successful and decided to return to porn and has being doing intermittent hc since then.
Shauna Sand's movie recently released by Vivid is basically a "sex tape", and there are plenty of those around involving singers, actors, movie actresses, TV personalities, "celebrities", etc. So in my view she does not qualify either in that category.

I think this tape may be the start of a Porn career for Shauna. She seems to be in the company of Taylor Wane quite a bit these days and really enjoys the attention. I could be wrong.

Len801 did you catch Ms. Weigels interview at NA? I mentioned it in a previous post. She spoke about Bukkake and how nasty it is. That she would never do a bukkake, along with never doing anal and never swallowing. She will leave that to the skanky bitches. Also she really likes celebrity escorting; like I said very interesting interview. Anyone else catch it?

Is Kelli McCarty the former Miss USA 1991 gonna continue in Porn?

(1) Shauna Sand is 38, and has appeared in TV and mainstream B grade action movies since the 1990's. I think her last mainstream movie was in 2006 (SUCCUBUS). If she decides to undertake a porn career it will have certain limitations. Will Vivid or some other large company put her to work under contract? Probably unlikely. From what has been seen of past "sex tape" celebrities, none have shown any strong desire to go into real porn. [Her present high visibility may be due to the fact she has agreed to publicize her sex tape with Vivid, after initially threatening them with a lawsuit, but whether that will follow into more hc work is another matter].
(2) No, I did not see that Naughty America interview, but I saw the other interview you posted the link to in your previous post, Weigel recently gave while she was wading in a pool in the midst of shooting a scene for a mainstream movie. Weigel has been doing hc movies since 1991 and is nearly 48 years old. She has only made approx 120 adult movies in her long career, not really a great output, and she sort of comes and goes. She is not getting any younger and so far has not done any real extreme sex scene (anal, DP, etc). Even if she were to decide to do that now, the impact is not the same if she had done that in the 1990's. It would not earn her that much money or fame, so I can understand she has no real interest in wanting to do that at this late stage of her life and career. In that other interview she declared she was a former Penthouse Pet, which has turned out to be incorrect, as she only posed for a photoshoot for Suze Randall that was published in Penthouse, but she was never a Penthouse Pet. Her personal/professional relationship with Playboy has been acrimonious for many years and up until recently. I do not lose sleep over her declarations that she will not do bukkake or anal or any of that stuff. Her shrieks and screams during her sex scenes (early in her career) were notable and should be conserved in the American Film Institute.
(3) There was a thread recently opened in ADT about Kell McCarty and she has not been heard or seen ever since that movie was released by Vivid in February 2009. She is also 49 yars old and has had her run of mainstream-softcore film work, so I really don't see anything promising in the horizon for her as well. I really don't know the personal reasons that prompted her to do that adult movie and whether the resultant experience was satisfactory to her and whether it is all she really wanted to do.

Just found one more: Persia Pele started out in mainstream movies in 2005 and since 2008 has been shooting hardcore scenes for internet sites and porn companies.

Christa Speck was Playmate of the Year 1961 not Teri Weigel. Have a GS movie with her. http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp&q=Playmate+of+the+year+1961&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&aqi=&oq=Playmate+of+the+year+1961&fp=baa94940edcea411

Monique Alexander aka Monique Rock. Met her on a set in Utah when she was doing Hotel Erotica for Cinemax. Absolute, complete bitch.
