So call me cynical, but everyone's been saying what a great photographer Rob is. While all these years he's also been screwing his models and filming it. I wonder why porn gets a bad name.
Its true, it does taint my name, no going around it. But what I'm capable of shooting 'commando style' on location in this heat, pulling off the quality photo/video while not creeping out the models and avoiding trouble... and pulling off this much content in days' time -- that's the skill I haven't found in any other photographer (otherwise I'd beg them to replace me so I can retire). edit: If you ever wondered why FTV 'changes' a model's name, eg. Fiona -- its not that I changed her name. I shot her almost 4 months before she started her porn career, and so when she did get into the porn industry, she decided on a new name. It happens all the time, like recent FTV girl Amy, who now wants to be called Haley Reed after she started with me (or their agents give them a new random name). It doesn't seem at all like the girls are being tricked. I'm not sure I get why people are upset. I mean I get that the shoot is different than people maybe perceived to some extent, but I don't see why that translates to bad or lesser. I don't know, I feel like I'm trying to see it from that perspective, but I'm not quite understanding. I'm excited for FTVx and for it continue in parallel to FTV. I know from talking to one FTVx model there was no pressure or trickery used on her at all. She was offered the hardcore shoot as a separate gig. She negotiated her rate and did the scene with no problems or issues, just like her original FTV shoot. She's excited for the scene to come out, since she thought they did a good job on it.
You really missed my point. Maybe they did break up, but insulting him for not liking it throws me off a little bit because that's an understandable reaction to your gf going into porn. It's probably a safe bet he knew she was into modeling, but maybe he wasn't aware of the sc to hc jump and I don't blame him for responding that way if he wasn't aware.

No offence but for me that's BS, there are only three kinds of men who could claim to be doing his kind of work and not having any of the girls (who want to shoot porn anyway): 1. Gay men 2. It might be worthwhile having some sort of limited membership either standalone or as an extra for FTV members somthinng like 1/2 the rate of standard membership and the understanding you might only see 1 or 2 updated in the month.
Works for me. He said he has about 35 scenes ready to be uploaded. These are enough to give it a launch. If this is the progress, people will definitely get the impression that he'll probably never launch or keep delaying.

People love to hate when it comes to porn or Internet period. It's a passive-aggressive mentality of hiding behind a keyboard that makes it so easy. After some go on to the world of porn, they get over done with make-up and the glitz and glamour of contract studio productions. I don't need all of that to fulfill a fantasy. I'd rather my fantasy feel attainable in some way. Being a photographer myself, it's much better to not have to use all of the programs and editing to get a good shot. I'd rather do it right the first time in the moment. It's one reason why it takes you so long to get updates out, I'm assuming - all the damned editing. It's pain-staking work that probably doesn't pay well enough. Do what you do. Let the back biters, syndicators, and objectifiers bitch and moan. It helps them get off. Now back to those previews...anymore?
