Seconding this. For me, in the early days the fisting scenes made FTV what is is (or at least got my attention). It seemed like there were a couple a month. Would love to see more of that type of thing in the future. There were a bunch in November of this year (thanks!!), but then there was an 8-month gap before that.

I don't think there's anything going on with FTV so much as there's a lot going on with the industry, especially after the disruption Fansly, OnlyFans, FanHub, etc brought. It also probably doesn't help that FTV is based out of Arizona, I think Phoenix or Scottsdale.
It looks like Rob is jumping on the Remaster/Upscale bandwagon. He's posted an update from 2016 remastered to 4k.

I like that they take the effort to remaster old scenes. Anything and especially the highlights scenes prior to 2015 should be looked at cause that seems to be the turnpoint in quality.
The resolution options for the .zip files are the same for the remastered release as they are for current releases and for the original release of Veronica's solo set in 2014
I don't think there really is any sort of advantage to upscaling or updating the resolution. He was already shooting in an incredibly high resolution. "Updating" them to 4k, 384 hex 2160, would actually lower the quality since they are already 16 megapixels, 4928x3280. Unless you are using AI to upscale them so you can print something to go on the side of a building or going to release the raw pictures, there isn't any need.
^ My question was really more in relation the older sets that were released as 1064x1600 pixels. I'm not sure when Rob went to posting higher resolution photo sets.
I'm pretty sure there have always been larger photos. I know other sets from around 2014 have them available. The big "4000PX" photos are what you want and that option started when Rob starting using a Nikon D4.

It's been over two weeks since the last new update. The last update was over a week ago and it was a remaster. The next update is another remaster. Updates have gone from 2 per week, to 1 per week, to >1 per week.
While I have been saying that the back catalog is where the value from a subscription is, I'm starting to question my subscription.
^^ If true, this is bad news in several ways. The obvious one is that we will lose a high-quality site but even more important may be that because it was (mostly) softcore and had a good reputation, new models would feel comfortable here and some would go on to hardcore careers.
In some ways though, this isn't a huge surprise. The site started 20 years ago and Rob may just be tired of it. I'm sure he's had a lot of fun and he's likely made a lot of money, but I'm also sure it's a lot of work. I assume he's in his mid- to late-40s so this is a good time to enjoy the fruits of his labour.
Don't get me wrong - if this is true, I'm not going to celebrate. I love FTV!

The only way in which this rumor being true is not horrible news is if Lia has taken it over. While I know many aren't thrilled with Lia's style (it's not quite up to Rob's excellence, but she's doing a fine job) it's at least staying with someone who I think would continue the values of the site.
A quick Google search does not reveal any change in ownership at this time.
If it is, in fact, true I might need to go through and catalog whatever info I can for my own knowledge before I terminate my membership...
This is one of those "you're gonna need to cite some sources" type things. I know market conditions are weird, but if someone other than Lia bought out Rob, I feel like they wouldn't be keeping the site running. The back catalog would probably be integrated into the Adulttime or Kink or Brazzers umbrella if they were bought out. Also, in the porn field, it's cheaper and easier to just clone the FTV style than buy it.
There is still some new content coming. Myra Glasford posted on Reddit that she's returning to FTV, and not in a solo shoot. She had hinted before (in a post that has since been deleted) that she was doing some G/G work so I'm curious who she's with.
I mean, I believe we do know he's been winding things down in terms of his day-to-day participation. I saw him interviewed in a magazine I read where he was talking about this, along with other ventures he's involved in. Selling the site wouldn't surprise me, based on what I read. He's certainly done one heck of a good job with FTV. No way I could do all that grueling work day in and day out, that's for sure!
Ideally, if Rob steps away entirely, then FTV goes to a collective of talented photographers and videographers who continue the philosophy of the site. I mean, what ultimately makes the site is its philosophy.
