I'm treading carefully here because I know advertising is a sensitive subject, and I understand why. I don't use an ad-blocker on this site.
However: I have never seen any of the kind of advertising I'm going to talk about here used on ADT.
There's a kind of on-line advertising called "Fuck You" ads because they they don't give a shit about fucking up anything else you see or are doing. This includes the type of ads that grow 2, 3, 5 times larger than their normal space and cover up the screen. Or animated moving pop-over ads that cover your screen, etc.
The ones that I want to disable are the auto-run videos. I don't mind video ads if I choose to turn them on, but a lot of times I'll be watching something in another window, go to a site and an ad will automatically start running and suddenly I've got two audio sources going at the same time.
Is there any way to put an end to this? I don't need to prevent them from being there at all--I just want them not to automatically start running. But barring that, I want them blocked.
