Jaggers Member 140 Posts 9/03	Posted - Aug 7 2004 : 1:21AM In our great 49th state where I lived and worked for 25 yrs with my wife who taught Kindergarten, you could get bear skin rugs from Fish and Game for a month at a time: polar bear, grizzly, black bear, brown, glacier bear, etc. We made some nice home movies on my favorite, polar bear in front of the glass doors on the fireplace. Now a good polar bear rug will run you about 25,000 dollars, so unless you go to Alaska and present a reasonable case for checking out one, you might have to get a fake one. A 2" swatch of polar bear fur can run you 100 bucks. [Link]

You can buy them in Canada and Russia, but again they cost a lot. You cannot borrow one from Fish and Game unless you have a non-profit and are Alaskan resident. Hope that clears it up.
