Watching a great scene with Jamie Elle, Michael Stefano, and John Strong and noticing the ubiquitous wet spot on a pretty plush-looking chaise in between switching positions. Just wondering, as I know many times private homes are rented for a day's shoot(s), what happens when and/or if porn people leave lube, spit, or cum stains on furniture? I personally would probably want to throw the entire sofa/couch/armchair out, no matter how hot the scene was or who had fucked on it.
Is this something covered by producers? Are owners compensated for stained furniture? Seems like there must be a giant warehouse full of dirty/used cloth sofas somewhere out near Chatsworth or Van Nuys!

I bet Max Hardcore's yellow sofa is still around somewhere as as people are to frightened go near it. When Facial Abuse finish production, that sofa will only be moved with a fork lift truck.
yellow sofa.jpgDon't go near, you might puke!!!

Thanks for the replies guys. I was thinking I was the only one who noticed this. Hell, Anabolic/Diabolic studios alone must have hundreds of cum-covered couches, mattresses, etc!

^ If that were the case I'm sure they'd be selling the stuff on eBay..something like "Rare Kari Sable cum-stained couch..COLLECTORS EDITION" LOL

Most furniture isn't going to stain if it gets properly cleaned. Besides, I'm sure that savvy owners will put furniture or entire areas off limits that they don't want to risk to the tender mercies of porn performers.

^I assumed that it was prop furniture which was hauled in for the shoot. Somewhere is a Public Storage unit full of porn couches, they just send a couple of crew guys out there with a pickup truck and deliver to the porn mansion du jour. That's why the rooms look so vacant; the homeowner has cleared everything out. I assume.

Although it's not directly related to stains, I think it's still close enough to the subject of this thread that I don't mind pointing you guys to some hilarious posts - almost a photo essay, if you will - from ADT member bigbobxxx a few years back.
The subject is the set of Peter North's movies. I'll let bigbob do the talking, as he is far wittier than I am.

^^ been there, done that. I've used the same accents to dress a set too. It's one of the reasons I don't like using my studio. No matter what I do, it tends to still look like a set.
For me it's a brown chair. I've used it in so many scenes. I've cover it and turned it different directions. It's still the same old brown chair. I hit garage sales and try to buy stuff cheap that I give to a neighbor afterward that's always having garage sales. He sometimes returns the favor when I'm looking for something specific. Funny stuff.

I've thought about it too, I guess like the other has said that there are furniture and rooms that are off-limit.
Sofas and upholstered furniture can be cleaned with carpet and steam cleansers, however I would not want to lye down and watch tv in a couch with creampie and jizz stains allover, no matter if it has been cleaned superwell :P

True that. Hotel/motel beds are disgusting. Bed bugs, fecal material, layers upon layers of DNA from various bodily fluids. And that's just the stuff in/on the beds. There are horror stories about the things people leave behind under their hotel/motel room beds. The staff washes the sheets, but often with water that's not hot enough to remove/kill some of the stuff deposited in them. Then to add insult to injury, they don't wash the bedspread/comforter at all. WTF is the point if you're going to put new sheets on a bed with a dirty cover? And what is that hideous smell emanating from beneath the bed? Don't be surprised if it's a dead body. No joke. Not to sound like Howie Mandel here, but someone needs to start a chain where they replace the beds with freaking hammocks.

^At least in a hotel bed you can pretend everything is clean and you actually see the housekeeping staff doing their daily chores with the carts, swapping out the dirty linen and towels and so forth. Whereas on a porn couch, the flying fluids are all caught on tape, and nobody sees the cleanup happening (or not).

That couch eventually winds up at the Goodwill thrift store along with the sheets and pillow cases and other odds and ends. I at least always wash the bedding before I donate them to the Goodwill.

I also wondered about all (maybe it's just one though, but they'd have to powerwash it with a firehose between movies!) those leather/vinyl sofas they use in the various oil/"wet" movies. Seems like one scene would make it unusable with all those gallons of baby oil/lube/whatever they use!
