I'd like to try Fallout 3, but my vid card won't push it... and I don't want to try it so bad that I wanna throw money at an upgrade for a few dozen hours of gameplay..... I keep meaning to find some time to get DosBox running and get my favorite old games up and running... I was aware of the trends the presentation above is about.... but I feel like they're happening in a whole different world from the one I live in. Maybe I've become a Luddite? Me, who's been on-line since before there was really much of a line to be on.... Pretty lame movie overall, but the premise was that there will come a time when you can opt to be injected with nanobots (for a fee paid to YOU) and become an avatar for someone else to control (fee charged to them). Maybe not in my lifetime...but given how easily people will give up all their free time on these pursuits already, I can see it happening. [Link] |
