I'd say it's probably something to effect of it is a lot more expensive to pay the performers to do a full gangbang than it is to pay the same number of people to do a blowbang, and the gangbang might not sell that much better than the blowbang. Not enough better to make up for the higher initial costs, anyway.

Bakers Dozen was a good series. Not always a full-on gangbang but at least some fucking in every scene.
I accept the financial argument but I am not sure what has changed in the last few years. It is not so long ago that the Gangbang Girl and other titles were being issued frequently, with the top talent of the day.

I prefer blowbangs way more than gangbangs.
