I notice that West Coast video have withdrawn Brian Pumper's "Gapeman". (that's No.1 in the series: no.2 is still available from Evil Angel). Withdrawing a title is a rare thing for any studio to do. I remember when Anabolic/Diabolic withdrew their 'Rough Sex' line, it was because the feminist lobby had threatened them with legal action. Can anybody cast any light on West Coast's decision?
Or because the rough sex went way too far for them to keep releasing it?I'm guessing Pumper owned the line, not WCP. Btw, Anabolic also killed a title because of legal action from Harley Davidson or something. I also think Evil Angel killed Buttman Confidential.

Brian Pumper financed and owned the movies he directed. West Coast was his distributor. After he joined Evil Angel, WCP sold his original movies for a little bit, but then they asked him if he could have Evil Angel sell his whole library. So we now have available to our customers all of the movies that he's directed.
