Please don't move this to the Gay Forum! Nobody seems to go there. I'm a girl, looking for gay features that are good, and preferably treated with respect by the company that puts them out. Any era, any theme.
The only films I've seen are Kansas City Trucking Co. (cool, but could barely make out the dialogue), A Married Man (the company decided to put a modern soundtrack on this classic feature - ruined it), The Hole (cheap, badly acted, but fun and well-written), and Oliver Twink (less said the better, I think).
Any suggestions?

I wouldn't say there are any gay features aimed at women, but GGG, here's a thread you might like (though I see you've already posted there so you beat me to it!).
But for the rest of you:

^ Oh, I'm not looking for gay features aimed at women - just good gay features.
Thanks for posting the link - it has some good suggestions by the sound of it.

Having never seen a Gay porn in my life I'm not much of an authority on this topic.I have on the other hand have been watching as well as reading adult material since 1982.There 3 Gay titles that would be of interest to me.
1. Boynapped - Good luck finding this one I do believe it's out of print. The reason being it starred Jamie Gillis and Wade Nichols. Also there is a fisting scene that was performed by Jamie Gillis,I heard that he had a stand in perform the fisting scene for him. What I can't get over a kinky guy like Jamie Gillis, why would he need a stand in.
2. The Idol - This was Kevin Redding's one and only performance and it was directed by Tom DiSimone(Lancer Brooks)who directed Angel 3 and Reform School Girls(w/Wendy O Williams) as well a number of other horror films. The Idol, revolves around a track star(Kevin Redding) who is being neglected by his girlfriend and he is dealing with his sexual identity.
3. The Bigger The Better - Just for the scene between Peter North a.k.a. Matt Ramsey on the receiving end of Rick (Humongous)Donovan. From what I've read this scene has on lookers truly amazed on how Peter North a.k.a. Matt Ramsey is able to take on Rick (Humongous)Donovan, without being split in two. This would peak a lot of peoples interest just because it is Peter North a porn legend.

A gay(bi) girl I know, also loves the gay male movies. I first thought it was a bit odd (as intriguing), but it seems like girls do like it. Can not help on Studio's and titles, tho.....

When we still had a gay site, the Cadinot titles always sold best for us.

YEA at first it was VERY strange I almost said NO! but she did things for me so I figure it was fair. Also she liked me to say "O what a beautiful cock I wish I could suck it!" as we watch,I did because it turned her on and she basicly did whatever I told her to in bed.

Gore Gore---Did you ever get around to seeing STORY OF JOANNA? A brief Gillis guy/guy blow job is in that one. Otherwise, I'm not going to be much help either; I recently reviewed a couple of she-male gonzo movies that I can't really recommend to anyone---T0M

^ I did watch Story of Joanna, and was very much looking forward to seeing Jamie in action with a guy. Unfortunately, it didn't look like he was enjoying himself very much, and I have to say I found the whole thing a little awkward. A shame, because it should have been like some kind of life realisation/epic sexual summit for me. Maybe if it had been John Leslie instead of Zebedy Colt...
From what I'm told, Jamie has been in gay movies, but didn't do the sexual stuff himself. Shame.

Guess it depends on what you mean by 'sexual stuff' as he definitely fists a fellow in Boynapped.

That was my thinking as well why would someone as kinky as Jamie Gillis, need a stand in for a fisting scene I did however read that somewhere and can't remember where.I mean after all Jamie, did direct a gay bondage movie for Red Board.

I just checked the scene, because of the way these things are shot, ie. in extreme close-up, you never see Gillis' face during the fisting scene but he does lots of passionate kissing with the fellow before, as well as getting a BJ and playing with his asshole. I can't see doing all that but drawing the line at actually fisting the dude, unless James hands were just too big.

BlackSix,I think you might have hit something there,if you notice when fisting does occur (yeah I know Jamie did fist Linda Vale in Neon Nights)it's usually female on female action or the likes of Bobby Astyr someone with extremely small hands.

I find this surprising! I hope you explored the classics a little, mcewan. :)
Any new recs? Since I started this thread, I have fallen in lust with Jeff Stryker, so add BIGGER THAN LIFE, POWERTOOL, SWITCH IS ON, and STRYKER FORCE to the list. All well-made and smoking hot.
Also, I absolutely love HEAVY EQUIPMENT with Jack Wrangler. Even the crummy DVD copy isn't all that bad in terms of picture quality. Lots of fun, weird, and almost every scene is hot if you like Jack.

The best gay feature I've seen so far (which is admittedly not very many; not even at double digits yet) is Bonesaw.
It's kind of rare/expensive (it was for me, anyway) though.

It's funny you should bump this thread Gore Gore Girl, because my curiosity finally got the better of me and I purchased a few Gay titles recently.
The Idol - It was pretty good, the late Porn Film Historian Jim Holliday (R.I.P.) really liked this one and so did William Margold. I thought Kevin Redding and Derek Stanton resembled one another.
The Bigger The Better - I really liked this one being a long time Peter North (a.k.a. Matt Ramsey) admirer going all the way back to his days in New Wave Hookers. I got a kick out of the fact that Mike Ramsey was playing the part of his brother and I think a lot of people truly believed they were actually brothers, it's too bad Mike didn't cross over and do mainstream porn as well he definitely would have been a favorite for the ladies.
The Other Side Of Aspen 1 thru 6 - TLA puts out a of a 5 disc collector's edition directors cut and adds the 6th. I've viewed all the up til 4.
# 1. Has excellent cast Dick Fisk (R.I.P.), Al Parker (R.I.P.),Casey Donovan (R.I.P.), Jeff Turk the only cast member that would go on and appear in # 2.
# 2. Kurt Marshall (R.I.P.) I get a kick out of watching him he sure reminds me of Ian Ziering of 90210 fame.
# 3. & # 4. Will literally keep you glued to your seat.
I bought a few others they were those Alpha Blue Archives Triple Features. Being a George Payne fan and seeing that much underrated actor Michael Gaunt was in the cast of one the films this was a must.
Touching on what I had discussed earlier in this thread about Boy Napped I forget where but I heard that there was a stand for Jamie Gillis (R.I.P.) during the fisting scene because he was roughing up the twink involved, know that sounds like Jamie Gillis.
I lived in Hollweird/Los Feliz from 1991 until 2004. When I first moved to the area I was taking the # 4 MTA Bus down Santa Monica Blvd to get to work, I noticed when going by Circus Of Books Jeff Stryker was scheduled to make an in store appearance, well for some reason this never happened, why I don't know.

I submitted a correction to IMDB, it looks like they have all Brandon Irons' credits attributed to Brandon Iron, but the IMDB correction process is not so easy, so I leave those for other people to do.

So my wife and I have been interested in these, but haven't found anything we've liked. I'm bisexually inclined while her preference is seeing penises and men enjoying receiving pleasure, something which straight movies don't generally do. One thing, though, is that we both prefer (straight and gay) actors who are younger looking and have less body hair (publc hair being the big exception). We found Any Boy Can, which promised to have hot actors, "exciting drama, good camera work, a great script, and fabulous cum-drenching sex" but the dialogue in the first scene was so bad and so badly delivered that we gave up before we got to the last of those four items.
It's weird, not to stereotype but there are so many incredibly creative, talented, gay men that you'd think good gay porn would be a dime a dozen. I asked one gay friend about good gay porn, he said I don't really know anybody who watches it, except for lesbians. He wasn't being snarky about that, BTW.
Oh yeah, I think this is supposed to be good. It's got a geodesic dome in it, so that's points.

Bi-Coastal by Tom DeSimone with the hot Cara Lott is the best feature with male-on-male sex that I've seen. There's also Left-Handed, mentioned in the thread linked earlier and the rather strange but excellent Sex Garage by Fred Halsted and Little Sisters by Akex De Renzy.

I wanted to resurrect this thread. I'm a straight guy, not girl, but same idea.
I just recently saw Whatever Mama Wants (review still forthcoming) by Roger Marks with Rick Cassidy which was a fun thriller type film and The Crooked Arrangement (review still forthcoming) also by Marks which wasn't as good. The plot was interesting once it picked up but it was only an hour film and the plot didn't even start kicking in until a half hour into the feature.
The Sins of Johnny X (review still forthcoming) by Taylor Benson was not so good for the straight male. No real plot with some serious continuity problems. Essentially it was just a bunch of sex that one of the men didn't even seem to be enjoying.
LA Plays Itself (review) by Fred Halstead. Two rather different vignettes are tied together here. The first one has no plot just sex but was nicely shot (like Wakefield Poole's Boys in the Sand review). The second one had a story that was presented more through the imagery (like with Poole's Bijou review) than the scant dialog. I found the second far more enjoyable for a straight guy than the first due to the narrative. Unfortunately the "third part" Sex Garage wasn't included.
I'm looking for more that have enough of a plot and an interesting enough plot for a straight guy (and hoping to revive discussion in the thread).

From the list I have seen the following.
BIJOU This is one of the best gay features that I have seen. The film is beautifully shot and tells a neat story in a unique way, which can change for each viewer.
BOYS IN THE SAND This was nicely shot but, honestly, not one of my favorites. The lack of story weakened this for me.
CENTURIONS OF ROME The story behind this one [Centurians of Rome (1981): What Really Happened? from The Rialto Report] is honestly way better than the film itself. The film is nicely shot and does well at using what was available for locations but the story was really a loss.
LA PLAYS ITSELF I loved the second half of this one, which had a story told in a similar way as Bijou did. The first half I wasn't as into -- again due to lack of story.
I have Joe Gage's Working Man Trilogy but I haven't seen them yet.

I also recently saw Hollywood Cowboy, the edited release of The Cowboy and the Old Man, on Exploitation.TV. It was a neat film that had both heterosexual scenes and homosexual scenes, with far more of the latter. The story was not perfect but unique.

Great list. I think my summer project will be to work through the films I (shamefully) haven't seen. Any tips on which version to get, or whether to even bother with the available version, warmly welcomed.
Own but never saw:
THE BACK ROW (Jerry Douglas, 1972) - I have wanted to see this forever, and finally found it together with a Chi Chi LaRue remake, which I guess I'm interested to see out of curiosity.
Seen:
BIJOU (Wakefield Poole, 1972) - I like this but it's a little too abstract for jollies. Regardless, a great film.
BOYS IN THE SAND (Wakefield Poole, 1971)- Love it. Casey Donavan is so great on camera. What a charismatic, beautiful performer. I like the abstract nature of this one for some reason - it feels a little less overwrought than BIJOU.
HEAVY EQUIPMENT (Tom DeSimone, 1977) - I have seen this the most times out of any all male film. I love it. I remember when I first watched it - I had low expectations because all of the 70s gay porn I had seen up to that point was awful in terms of picture and audio. HE isn't great in this regard, but it's totally watchable and, even better, Jack Wrangler in each and every scene. I couldn't disagree more about the sex - to me, it's in no way tedious. It's fantastic!
THE IDOL (Tom DeSimone, 1979) - not a huge fan of this one. Possibly because I don't find the lead terribly attractive.
KANSAS CITY TRUCKING COMPANY (Joe Gage, 1976) - I like this one. Very little dialogue, which I have learned is fairly standard in 70s all male features. The concept behind this one is very appealing and the cast is great.
A NIGHT AT THE ADONIS (Jack Deveau, 1978) - holy smokes, this one is nuts. Practically an adaptation of Samuel Delaney's TIMES SQUARE RED, TIMES SQUARE BLUE. Really beautifully put together.
I would add POWERTOOL (John Travis, 1986). SOV but handled so well--it looks great. There are little touches to the film that I appreciate such as the guard interrupting the first BJ (and the voyeuristic qualities of that scene too), the audacious nature of the opening inspection, etc. POWERTOOL is the quintessential gay prison movie and deserves to be on the list.

The HIS release of Falconhead Two is definitely heavily edited. There is 21 minutes of missing footage from the DVD release included at least one and one-half sex scenes. It is cheap as hell though. I picked one up knowing it is heavily cut since there aren't any other versions I can see out there.
Based on John Lyons' comment, I am guessing the HIS versions of the Working Man Trilogy are edited. They appear to be available through Ray Dragon Video on DVD unedited but I can't confirm yet.
Almost every film on the list is available through Bijou. Some, according to Lee on the same thread the Hand in Hand releases, are legit from good sources. The others, not the Hand in Hand releases according to Lee, are not so legit and not from such great sources.
The Back Row (Channel 1), Boys of Venice (Laguna Pacific), and Pier Groups (French Connection) all appear to be out of print.
I'm guessing Heavy Equipment from Vidco is a poor transfer and not in 3D.
The Wakefield Poole titles have beautiful Vinegar Syndrome releases. LA Plays Itself has a beautiful release on Exploitation.TV.
Forbidden Letters, Passing Strangers, and Wanted: Billy the Kid appear to have no releases at all.

I've ordered Light From the Second Story Window -- which just interests me after Hollywood Cowboy -- and Drive -- which sounds amazing -- from Bijou, The Back Room from Channel 1, Boys of Venice from Laguna Pacific, Heavy Equipment from Vidco, and Falconhead Two -- I know it is horribly cut but it looks like the only release and is dirt cheap -- from HIS.
Not on the list but I also picked up Desires of the Devil from ARI and Killing Me Softly -- with Jack Wrangler who is a great actor -- from Cream of the Crop.
Far newer I also grabbed a close out priced The Underboss -- it has Jamie Gillis who is one of the greatest actors in adult cinema in a non-sex role -- from U.S. Male.

I nedd to get the VS release of LA Plays Itself. Did I read somewhere that there's some issue with Sex Garage that prevents it from getting released? Too bad as it is pretty amazing with its bisexual and of course motorcycle fucking scene.
Flash, I have the version of Falconhead from Bijou. I don't have access to my collection right now so I can't check if it is uncut. I remember the image quality is quite good.
I've seen Wanted: Billy the Kid so it got released somewhere. I remember it reminded me of Morrissey's Flesh.
Where did you order Second Story from? I've been looking for it forever.

I haven't heard about the first Falconhead being cut, not to say it hasn't been.
I'm not sure, I have only found one release of Sex Garage and that is from Alpha Blue Archives, given the poor quality of the majority of their releases I've been very hesitant to pick it up.
The Light From the Second Story Window is on DVD from Bijou Video (http://bijouworld.com/DVD/The-Light-from-the-Second-Story-Window.html). I ordered it directly from them, they even have a sale going right now.
I'll have to look more for Wanted: Billy the Kid. I expected it to be out through Bijou since it is a Hand in Hand Film.
