Rod Dumont, a big-dicked guy who mainly appeared in Zebedy Colt's films, was bisexual I believe. Jody Maxwell says that their threesome in Unwilling Lovers originally included man-on-man action but that is was often cut out of the prints (kinda of ironic considering that we're talking about a film that portrays a mentally retarded man having sex with dead bodies!!). Oh yeah, of course how could I forget the aforementioned Zebedy Colt! The problem with this and other lists is that some straight actors have appeared in jack-off scenes in gay films, and a number of males have done she-males but not necessarily guys (yes I know you will say a she-male is a male with balls and ass, but not quite the same, and a clear distinction should be made). Tnen there are post-op she-males who have been screwed by straight actors. There was a huge detailed post in RAME some years back listing all these performers.
^ Yeah, great info, but I'm wondering which performers out of this list were exclusively in gay porn, and then decided to move over into straight. (Though I was going to then ask about performers who dabbled in both, so thanks for the list - much appreciated).

Hard to tell sometimes which came first, but at the top of my head: Peter North started his porn career in porn (as Ramsey), Marc Wallice too I am pretty sure. Not sure about Eric Price, I think he was doing both straight and gay (bi-sex) movie for a while (under another name) (he most likely did straight movies first from my recollection). From what I heard, Byron Long Long was doing gay films before moving over to straight movies. For the older actors, hard to tell what they did first. Never saw any evidence of Paul Thomas doing gay loops, and I would be curious to know more. Tom Byron did a photo shoot with a blonde she-male very early in his career (around 1982-83). I never saw any really gay stuff with Blake Palmer or Joey Verducci for that matter, and if Mcewan could elaborate, it would be appreciated. I think David Morris did some bi-sex stuff (very awful to look at) later in his career, but I do not know whether he did out and out gay movies. Let me elaborate Greg Rome,did do a gay a porn film whether he had sex I don't know however he used to hustle on Santa Monica Blvd,so no shock there.David Morris,was was already established in straight porn when he did gay porn,he did do Centurians In Rome in 1981 along with George Payne.However in David Morris's case a majority of his gay/bi work came at the end of his career.Another one that can be be added to this list and lied to a paper that he had an affair with John Travolta,is Paul Barressi,he did quite few straight porn films as well as gay films and has directed a lot of gay films.Joey Verducci,did gay porn under the name Mac Reynolds.Blake Palmer,was in a gay film titled Falconhead 2,whether he had sex in the film I do not for sure.Now to the original question who got their start in gay porn Peter North as Matt Ramsey,I do believe Eric Price as Charlie Stone.Julian,as Jordan Rivers.Also after taking a 10 year hiatus and making a comeback in straight porn TT Boy's brother Talon formerly gay stud Lex Baldwin.Hopefully I cleared up a few things and was able to provide some useful information by no means am I an aficionado on this subject matter.

I am familiar with ALL this. I was asking about Paul Thomas in gay loops, which is the first time I hear about. You did not comment More to the point, just saying someone was in a gay (or even bi-sex) film means nothing. Even straight actors have appeared in bi-sex movies performing only straight sex with other females. Like I mentioned in my first post, a number of straight actors have just done jack off scenes in gay movies(solo masturbation). If there is no male-to-male sexual contact, then we are not talking about a "gay" scene in the tradional sense. But original poster was asking who first started in gay porn and moved over to straight movies later. I have seen the David Morris bi-sex movies and they are simply dreadful. I believe Julian did begin in gay movies as Jordan Rivers (although he was not confortable with that when that came out).
