Originally I setup gdr as a way to highlight reviews of gay DVDs. Now I'm at a 'what do we do with gdr' point - and need your feedback. If it were up to me there would be no separation of gay and straight content, but that's cause I like straight and gay porn. However, both gay and straight members have expressed that they would like separation. Anyway - there are a lot of things we can do with gdr. Please let me know if you want these features, if you have other ideas, etc. - Moving the reviews of gay titles to run on gdr (as well as adt). This would make it possible to run more relevant lists down the right -eg new reviews of gay titles rather than straight ones. - Change the search box on gdr so it only searches gay titles - same with the reviews search box. - A gay DVD specific newsletter - Automate the new reviews, so that every new review of a gay title will automatically appear on gdr (similar to the new reviews list on adt, but in a different format so it goes across the center of the page.) This saves me time and makes sure things are updated in real time. - Top 50 price searches and most read reviews Basically anything you see on adt we can limit to gay titles and run it on gdr. Ideas? So long as the pages loads quickly and that somehow both sites are connected in someway. I think when searching for titles/reviews, I'd find it easier if GDR just limits its search results to gay titles only. Makes it alot easier that way. As for the suggestion for a gay specific newsletter, I just happened to search for that feature after finding out a change to the website. It'll be great to have one! I guess that would mean finding ppl to help create and maintain one, eg on a weekly basis. Every point you suggested seems fine, but I'd like to keep the forum as it is; it'll allow our 'str8' friends to participate and visit. [Link] |

I prefer to have the Gay material seperated from the rest, its just easier to find things, especially when they have the same "keywords" in titles. I love the idea of a newsletter. Make a link to the GDR section more prominent on the forum and homepage? I wasn't sure where to go at first. I know we talked in the past about this but I'd like to see some contests maybe? Once I get that in place we can have a giveaway for people who sign up. We'll change the way the search works too. netguy - I put a link to gdr on the top right of almost every page, including the homepage - though I just realized it's not at the top of the forum (uses a different menu - but I will add it.)
