www.generossextreme.com appears to be gone. Instead I get a page that leads directly to www.extremeassociates.com

Maybe there is a new link, but I couldn't find it at EA web site. I hope Gene Ross hasn't given up his web log, because I found his daily rants and musings quite a hoot.

His site was a lot better when he was at AVN, he'd talk about all the different companies and what was going on in the industry. Now it's just kind of an Extreme Associates thing and you hardly ever hear about things other than what's going on with Extreme.

If it turns out to really be true that Gene is no longer with Extreme Associates (and at the moment, I think it's too early to tell for sure), then where will he go next? Gene definitely burned his bridges with AVN with all of the excessive ranting he's done against them. Yet, I think that AVN was the perfect place for Gene Ross to be.

Too bad if it's true. Gene had the best gossip site in the biz cause he really knows his shit. I looked at the server last night and looks to be the real deal but those knuckleheads change their minds on a dime.

GeneRoss.com and GeneRossExtreme.com were good sources to get information. His site was more informative when Gene was at AVN. Too bad as there are not much independent sources for information.

You notice that Tom Byron seems to have dropped off the face of the earth? All the rats are fleeing the ship, and this Gene Ross matter is just the latest sign. I've predicted privately that within a few months we may well be reading that Rob Black has retired to concentrate on wrestling, while Byron hires on to someone like West Coast to keep making the same type of movies he already does. We'll see, I guess.

And as I said previously, Tom Byron only showed up here on ADT when Extreme was taking major heat for downloading dialers into peoples hard drives that were only visiting the Extreme site. I let eveyone here know what they were doing and then Tom showed up to say it had been stopped. They didn't show up to answer peoples concerns about their product (some of the worst dvd transfers in porn), but only to do damage control. Then he disappeared again without answering anyone's questions about the qulaity of their product.
I wouldn't be surprised one bit to see Extreme Associates shut it's doors. It's been so long since they put out a good porn, seems like years. I don't even consider renting any of their stuff anymore.

Sure he did. Tom acknowledged that the quality of their DVD's had been sub-par. He told us that they had fired the person in charge of DVD's at Extreme. That he was taking over responsibilty for DVD production and that they were bringing the entire operation in-house.

I agree that he hasn't been around for a while, and therefore, has not replied to recent questions. But he definitely responded to complaints regarding Extreme DVD quality.

With Extreme's past track record, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for an improvement in the quality of their dvd's.

Eventhough I had my reasons to hate Extreme in the past I still hope they stay alive because I still like a lot of movies they make, mostly thanks to Veronica Caine who's simply one of the best performer out there and I love the Lower Extremities serie, it's one of the best foot-fetish serie out there. I do agree about the poor release of their DVD's, I mean will they ever release the directors cut of Days of Whore on DVD?

Oh, I'm gonna miss Gene Ross, he had a lot of good info on his site about the industry.

According to Wanker Wang at Luke Ford, the demise of Generossextreme is official:
Looks like Gene's previous decision to leave AVN for Extreme Associates was a very bad career move. Over the last several months, I've heard a few reports from previous Extreme Associates insiders (including Wanker Wang, Jessica Darlin, Slain Wayne, and the artist formerly known as Luciano) about how much internal strife and chaos there was at Extreme Associates. Plus, I've also heard for quite some time about their financial struggles.

Maybe Tom Byron will post again on ADT to address these issues...or maybe not. It's his prerogative.

Hey Pontus,

Since you have access to the inside scoop, you may want to consider putting up your own adult news site like Luke's or Gene's. Of course, you might loose money, but ...
then again you might make ...

What a huge loss. Sad to see it go.

If anyone is interested the CuntHunt interviews are still available at: GeneRoss CuntHunt. They should at least stay up until Monday.

A lot of things I will miss from Gene's site but most important will be the pornstar interviews. Gene's interviews provide more detail and more importantly names that you wont hear anywhere else.

Take Sin Nye for example. On Tera Patrick's show she said her 1rst scene was so bad with a certain male actor she left porn for a year and she's just decided to return. No, she didn't mention his name and if it was an Ed Powers' interview and she mentioned it, he would've bleeped it out. Not Gene, it was Nacho Vidal. I wasn't suprised. From the facial reaction of some girls doing a scene with Nacho, I felt if a baseball bat were on the set. The girl would've hit him with it. I've since stop watching Nacho films.

Shame I'm going to miss out on all the details now.

Assuming that you're being serious, I'm sorry Ron, I didn't mean to give you the wrong impression. All of my sources are second-hand. I don't have any direct connections with people in the porn industry. It would be great if I did. Then maybe I could find out what the hell is going on with Jake Steed.

Okay Pontus,

I thought that you had some inside sources. Some on this board do. Oh well. No more Gene Ross and no more update on Skeeter's latest videos, and more importantly, the babes in those videos.

Anyone remember that bit a few months ago, where they promised to feed a chiuaua to a python. It was all bullshit of course, but it was still funny as hell.

Too bad. Just talked to someone at Extreme. They gave Gene the ultimatum. Be the Extreme webmaster or else.

I always considered Gene a class act. A bit gruffy, but always classy. He basically taught me everything I wanted to know about the industry and always had time. There are fewer people more generous and intelligent than him.

I think alot of this stems from Jon Blatt's recent discussions with Paul from AVN. Who knows? I hate to see him go especially without any words.

But, in all honesty, Extreme has been known to do an okie doke maneuver in a heartbeat.

I feel as sorry as all of you. Gene's webpage was once mentioned in a French mag some months ago, I gave it a try, and I'd been addicted ever since. I never missed a day of his rantings and particularly funny interviews, I was even sorry on the weekends when there was no update. Well, he seems like a smart lass, we should expect him to pop up in the most unexpected place anytime soon.

i should be so lucky, lucky lucky lucky
