Don't missunderstand, I own tons of Gonzo, fetish, compilation and all-sex DVD's (and VHS's) because once I make a connection with a star, I like to follow her career. There are some fantastic beauties out there that seem perpetually stuck in gonzo's and all-sexer's. Just briefly introduce the characters, have a little conversation, a setup that shouldn't go on more than 5 or 6 minutes, than get to the action. That really works for me. Watching painfully bad acting for like 10-15 minutes before anything happens just makes me want to fast forward. Porn is what it is. If they try to tell a real story they usually screw things up. Click to expand I generally perfer a bit of a set up and like seeing star fully dressed before the sex begins but not trying to do a fullblown story and make me sit or fast forward through bad acting and a "story" I could care less about. For me most porn movies do okay. I like variety. Sometimes I'm happy seeing a girl just walk on screen and pose a bit and the man just appears and they go to town and other times I like about 2 to 5 minutes of a set up. I just saw BLACK OWNED 2 and thought Mike John did a good job of giving the movie enough of a story to tie all the scenes together and not make it too long and boring. Also the latest CHEATING HOUSEWIVES had just enough of a story and set up to make the scenes more interesting without being too long...plus the DVD had an option of seeing the set up or going straight to the sex. I think the only feature I've sat through most of the story and found it interesting was the first few TABOO movies from the 70s(?) and I mostly sat through those because I'm a big Kay Parker fan and just enjoy seeing her even if she isn't having sex. Click to expand I might have misspoken with Sunny. The features you mentioned were very good (although, like the mainstream film "Memento", I didn't like the backwards story line in Sex Pics). Sunny has been in three more great features - Dark Angels 2: Bloodline, She Bangs! and just released, "The Real Boogie Nights" where she plays 'skater girl' and gets to show off some of her skating moves from her ice dancing years. I guess the thing with Sunny is that she does considerably more Gonzo than feature. I enjoy her on screen personality, espcially in "She Bangs!" and wish she would make more films that follow a plot. Seems there's more attention paid to the mood lighting, the hair and makeup, and even the furniture than there is to the actual sex. I may not be among the majority, but I enjoy features, especially when they follow the film school creed - a good story, simply told.' I think gonzo style movies have their place but some are just sheer crap. The covers are usually the best thing about them. The problem with collecting these movies is they're all feature the same tired format all the time with the same men dominating the girls. While I pefer some kind of a story I wouldn't want to go back to the 70's and 80's where there was too much story, and it kept us waiting forever to get to the sex. Just briefly introduce the characters, have a little conversation, a setup that shouldn't go on more than 5 or 6 minutes, than get to the action. That really works for me. Watching painfully bad acting for like 10-15 minutes before anything happens just makes me want to fast forward. Porn is what it is. If they try to tell a real story they usually screw things up. Keep it brief.

I generally perfer a bit of a set up and like seeing star fully dressed before the sex begins but not trying to do a fullblown story and make me sit or fast forward through bad acting and a "story" I could care less about. For me most porn movies do okay. I like variety. Sometimes I'm happy seeing a girl just walk on screen and pose a bit and the man just appears and they go to town and other times I like about 2 to 5 minutes of a set up.
I just saw BLACK OWNED 2 and thought Mike John did a good job of giving the movie enough of a story to tie all the scenes together and not make it too long and boring. Also the latest CHEATING HOUSEWIVES had just enough of a story and set up to make the scenes more interesting without being too long...plus the DVD had an option of seeing the set up or going straight to the sex.
I think the only feature I've sat through most of the story and found it interesting was the first few TABOO movies from the 70s(?) and I mostly sat through those because I'm a big Kay Parker fan and just enjoy seeing her even if she isn't having sex.

I might have misspoken with Sunny. The features you mentioned were very good (although, like the mainstream film "Memento", I didn't like the backwards story line in Sex Pics). Sunny has been in three more great features - Dark Angels 2: Bloodline, She Bangs! and just released, "The Real Boogie Nights" where she plays 'skater girl' and gets to show off some of her skating moves from her ice dancing years.
I guess the thing with Sunny is that she does considerably more Gonzo than feature. I enjoy her on screen personality, espcially in "She Bangs!" and wish she would make more films that follow a plot.

From 1983 to 1997 I watched only feature movies, almost entirely VCA pictures. I owned just about every movie they released.
Near the end of 1997 I decided to try a movie from another company other than VCA Pictures. The name of the movie was Shut Up and Blow Me. At about the same time I also discovered a movie called Blowjob Fantasies.
After watching both movies I felt a tidal wave of excitement wash over me. I loved this new style Gonzo porn and I suddenly realized just how awful watching features was! My VCA collection, which I loved so dearly, ended up in the trash can to make room for my expanding blowjob movie collection.
I enjoyed all the hours I spent watching VCA's feature movies and seeing the work of the great directors they had. However, I could never go back to watching all the bad acting, stupid storylines, and constantly fast forwarding looking for a sex scene.
Last year, I tried watching a feature called Stiffer Competition, a remake of the classic Stiff Competition. About a half hour into it, I was bored to tears, and I threw the movie away.
There is no way in hell that I would go back to watching features again.

That's the problem with features, in my opinion. The sex scenes are too staged. Seems there's more attention paid to the mood lighting, the hair and makeup, and even the furniture than there is to the actual sex. I don't think the performers get the opportunity to let loose and go wild on each other. I'd like to see the spontaneity and chemistry of gonzo-style sex incorporated into a feature. I think most women would.

Don't those who produce gonzo know that there is a very real burn-out factor? I went on www.iafd.com and saw that today is Gia Paloma's birthday. She is just 23, has been in the business for four years and is credited with 245 adult. Of those, 108 titles feature anal sex. I happen to favor anal sex and I enjoy some of the work of Gia Paloma. But I don't want to watch her get anally fucked 108 times. Frankly, I don't recall if Gia has ever been in a feature and if she has then it was not as the lead. So let's say that at the tender age of 23, she has piled more than 100 anal sex gonzo titles into the already overflowing marketplace.
Certainly there must be some people out there that want originality defined as something other than finding new girls to put into more gonzo title.

Have you tried the "Chemistry" series by Vivid? I think you would like it - there is a scene with Kimberly Kane in C2 that is among the best and most realistic I have ever seen. Viv Thomas puts out some pretty good lez stuff, like the "Art of Kissing" if you are into that.

Uh I don't know 'cause I didn't say that. Some features have great sex, maybe not as nasty as I want, but still great sex. Look I want competent acting/directing/decent sets, but on the other hand I'm not looking for the next Meryl Streep actor wise or Martin Scorcesse director wise. I don't want some story some guy thinks would be Emmy worthy, if only he was writing for some "legit" production.

Thank you for your kind words! We do seem to have a product that people either love or hate LOL But those who seem to love it become long time fans. Their are certainly some titles that are better then others. Based off of how much you liked Penny Flames out of Control .. I would suggest Nerdz. It is also a vingette style comedy/gonzo porn mash-up. Or if you are keen on Penn'ys style of sillyness i would suggest the college guide to getting more pussy and the college guide to threesomes.

I just think things have changed too much. Companies like Vivid, Adam & Eve, and Wicked, have contract players that they have to feature, which leaves maybe 3-4 other girls to put in them. With literally thousands of girls in the business now, it just doesn't leave much room for many others. With Gonzo and All-Sex films, you get maybe 5 unrelated sex scenes with 5 different girls usually. Factor that with equally feature films, all-sex films, gonzo fans, and feature fans who hold each other at arms length trying to avoid each other like the plague. Notice the real resistence from gonzo fans on this site who bristle at even the meer suggestion. A feature company won't cast too many gonzo girls because they know their fans won't follow them over. I just watched Flower Tucci in her first feature film, even though she'd been in the business for over 5 years. The feature crew had absolutely no idea who she was, which still shocks me to this day. Now there is no doubt in my mind that Flower can move units in whatever format is needed, but still the perception persists. At the same time, a lot of gonzo performers simply don't like feature films. Too much sitting around, not nearly enough fucking, and way too much vanilla fucking. Compare 1 hour of solid gonzo fucking versus 15-20 disrupted minutes of feature fucking that takes 2 hours to shoot. I'm not saying a crossover can't be made, but just think the dynamics are too wide for an easy transition. I'd love to see it though. Thing is, feature films can really be anything they chose to be, they just don't strive to be, and non-fans won't allow it anyway. Attitudes probably have to change first though.

I am tired of "creativity" i.e. circus sex acts. Recently I saw couples having sex on scaffling 6 ft up in the air and a couple having sex on a "moving" treadmill both in a Vivid film. I like what one Hustler reviewer said " I don't review films I just review the girls. New girls is just about the only creativity I enjoy. Those who enjoy a 30 page screenplay and a $1,000 soundtrack are in luck. Cinemax is making their own tittie movies now. I suggest you sign up.

Ok, I am not trying to be an ass when I say this. But people need to stay with reality. Gonzo unfortunately is defining this generation. And maybe not in a good way, chocking, slapping, rough sex and degrading the girls have become the norm. You know this is the truth...It is what it is. If it quacks like a duck it must be a duck.
Most gonzo shooters don't have the ability,skills or creativity to organize/shoot/edit a good feature movie. The only way it happens is if they PAY SOMEONE ELSE to do it for them. And some certainly have the money to do this.
I am being a little tongue in cheek with this next one, so don't stress. I am sure that every card carrying member of the "Gonzo Is For Real Men" club, also has a nice collection of raincoats, sun glasses and step ladders. Ophie and Anthony posters hang on the wall next to "Slime Oozing Spincter Sluts With Black Eyes". This is for sure defining the generation.... like it or not it is your legacy.

I think I'd like to see a hybrid of a few types of porn. First, I would like the women dress like they normally do, for example in the BTS footage they have regular clothes on prior to getting ready, that is hot. I like the instant sex of gonzo, but there needs to be some setup, not alot, just enough. Maybe the man and woman could talk a bit before the fucking, to see what she likes, and so on (just a thought).
