Getting every scene you want - How do you do it?

You're a porn fan, with a finite amount of money, but you have a plethora of different performers who you particularly like, or newbies you like to try out. You belong to a number of top company websites, but you find that your favourite girls do not always do material for them, or they do incredible scenes for sites you're not a member of. Now, on the basis that this must happen quite regularly, what do you do when you want it? What tactics do you employ? Do you just suck it up and think "Aww shit, never mind"; do you join on a monthly membership and get all the material for your favourite girls and then quit; do you buy them on VOD/DVD from Adult DVD Empire/Videobox; do you pick every other one that you want to save yourself money? The reason I ask is because I have accumulated a shortlist of some movies or scenes for my most favourite performers that go back a year, maybe two, but just have not got them for financial reasons. They are scenes/movies that have received great acclaim from experts and fans alike so I feel like I must have them. I see people on these forums all the time, talking about this scene for company X or that scene for company Y that was great, but on the balance of things, they cannot obviously be members of every company in the industry. So how do people here go about selectively getting their favourite performer movies or scenes? I just don't want to miss out for good on top scenes my favourite performers have done. It feels like I'm not making the most of them while they are around and I want to see their best before they eventually leave the industry. [Link]

Unless you make your list really short(1 or 2 girls) and really recent (1 or 2 years). And/or unless you set some selection criteria. For example I automatically disregard scenes without high heels and scenes with lame guys and POV scenes, because IMO those 3 things can make/ruin the scene, even with a perfect girl. So maybe you have some similar criteria which will help you reduce the number of scenes to collect. [Link]

I do sometimes try to find free stuff, which rarely is successful. Mostly I subscribe to sites or buy downloadable VOD or buy cheap DVDs. For example JBvideo DVDs are $25-$35 normally, but they have several discount sales throughout the year, and they normally have a bunch of titles on Ebay for $10-12, so it's a matter of waiting and watching. There does not seem to be much variation from one vendor to another; actually they appear to be identically designed and priced, as if they are all linked to some centralized VOD thing. [Link]

I subscribed to Live Gonzo for a couple of years when it was up and running, but it's been dead for quite a while. I buy most Elegant Angel movies directed by Mason and William H on DVD and most of Chris Streams' stuff on DVD as well. I used to buy a lot of Digital Playground stuff on DVD. Other than that, I buy the occasional DVD that I think is worth the money, usually from Jules Jordan or New Sensations. Like other people have suggested, I also occasionally get a one month subscription to Elegant Angel, Jules Jordan, Mile High Media, Brazzers, Reality Kings, etc., to get the rest of the scenes that I want. And nowadays, many sites will have sales that you can catch if you look for them (Freeones is a good place to look, and following company twitter accounts can be another). You can end up only spending about $30-40 a month if you do this well, which isn't enough that it would break the bank for most people. [Link]

I didn't think of going about it like that. It's a bit frustrating at the moment because I joined a whole bunch of sites on the Porn Portal - with my main membership being Brazzers - where you pay the one time massive discount on an annual membership, but most of them are not putting out any material from any of my favorite performers. It's all old material they did like a year ago. Mofo's and Reality Kings for example. I've not got a single update from Mofo's in the last six months that I have wanted and once in a blue moon Reality Kings will release a scene that I want, but other than that nothing. I know I'm not paying any more or losing out on anything because I've already paid the annual membership, but it feel like a real waste nontheless. From what I can tell, the insta-join insta-quit option seems to be the best option where possible. Of course, not all companies put their scenes up for download so in those cases it would have to be VOD. The only thing with VOD is that it seems you have to pay the price for a full movie, even when it's only one scene that you might want. I don't suppose there are sites out there which you can get a scene from any movie and from any company on a pay-per-scene basis are there? I realise I'm reaching because I've never heard of this either but anything that comes close would be a good help. Thanks for all the advice thus far . [Link]

AEBN is also a good site to find hard to find stuff. AT HOTMOVIES you can rent a streaming VOD for a week for about 5 bucks. Stream for life for about 10 bucks or download for about 15. AEBN is about the same. I don't think it's the best deal for buying new stuff and there are some studios that aren't available on either one but for finding older stuff, foreign stuff, obscure stuff, etc., they're pretty good. You can also rent/buy scenes. Just don't watch/buy and movie using minutes because doing it that way is a horrble deal. Also, FYRE TV seems to be a good way to stream movies without having to pay a monthly fee. Just join and pay for the stuff you want. If you want to try doing this through actually buying DVDs I'd say ADULTDVDMARKETPLACE is the best place for great deals. I haven't seen anywhere that sells new or old DVds as cheap as that site. From the sounds of things, individual scenes are fairly reasonably priced, considering you get to keep them permanently. Are most VOD sites these days working in 1080p or at least 720p HD? That will really influence if I get anything from a site if they do not have HD content. [Link]

I'm getting a good picture here that most people are getting their scenes via a combination of downloading on a pay-per-scene basis, and/or joining for a month and grabbing all the content as and when there's enough joining for. Is it correct to assume that there are premium sites out there who have a good reputation for regularly updating their scenes (from various companies)? [Link]

Click to expand The problem is you will never get the producers together to agree to this. Especially if it's one of the other producers that comes up with the interface. I mean, even Manwin doesn't really do this with just the sites/companies that they own (technically you can buy an add-on membership to any of their sites from any of their other sites, but it requires a separate purchase, and using a separate website/interface, and the price is something like $50 per site). I skip IR scenes and movies from directors/studios that I don't like, but I'm quite happy with I've been able to see and even how quickly I've gotten to see it. [Link]

Click to expand It's not hard to imagine a mainstream company solving the problem. Let's say Youtube, Netflix, Apple, Hulu, Amazon and a couple of companies we haven't heard of yet all develop a next generation TV that integrates a lot of the services that Harri Patel hinted at. Most probably won't want to sell porn, but if one of them sees an opportunity, then the porn producers would need to sit down and talk. We already saw that Netflix and Blockbuster didn't want to get into the business of renting porn DVDs, while most of the cable companies have been happy to sell porn. No one knows if any of the hi-tech companies that are competing for the video market will want to sell porn, but if they do. [Link]

As someone already mentioned, I use hotmovies.com to find individual scenes I'm lookin for and it usually costs under 4 bucks a scene. As for DVD's, they're few and far between nowadays; a last resort. In the end, all of it gets tweeked to my liking and archived. That's my porn system [Link]
