Would a gay man have a hard time "preforming" with a female director... or a female camera operator, if a man was directing?

Is it wrong for a woman to have a crush on a young gay man...or two?

Though it's not in the final cut, we did spent some time talking about the fact that this was the first time that either of them have had sex with a woman in the same room. The gist of their answer was that the big hurdle is getting over doing it with anyone watching. Once you've cleared that hurdle, gender really doesn't make a difference.

What they did say was different about our shoot was that once they got used to the purr of the film cameras, it was a lot easier to get lost in the fucking when they weren't worrying about "opening up" or taking direction in the middle of the action.

More generally speaking, I think that if you're working with real exhibitionist, they're into being watched and apprecieted, regardless of the gender and orientation of who's doing the watching.

Just wanted to add this:

Four weeks after we shot Damon and Hunter we went out to SF and shot several straight and lesbain couples.

In one case, one of the lesbian women we shot told me our shoot was the first time she had ever had an orgasm on set. Her previous experiences were doing "by lesbians/for lesbians" shoots.

I don't mean to suggest I'm some sort of magic man. I do mean to suggest that the mood on the set is more important in encouraging/allowing performers to enjoy themselves, than what the crew does or doesn't have swinging between their legs.

Damon and Hunter were quite charming in person. Even I got a woody.

Only kidding Lord Caspen It'd take a stronger woman than I to resist the charms of those two even if it's just in my dreams...

Thanks! I figured it wouldn't make much of a difference. I've come to know quite well the male talent... and how the pros know just where to focus to keep it going. Figured it would be the same gay/straight/whatever. But, wanted to double check, before possibly venturing this way. Thanks again!
