I don't think she retired. Just more of a long-term/extended break/hiatus. It's possible there is some unreleased scenes though, but everyone is hanging onto them for a "rainy day." It is common to shelve scenes/movies for years, and it doesn't really matter how big or small in popularity the star is. But yeah.
