I watched and reviewed two of her earliest scenes and was quite impressed by her. She was not nearly as over the top back then.
I think that we might be observing the pornification of her performances. This happens to many performers. Although they are more confident and familiar with performing than they were at the inception of their careers, they sometimes seem less natural and more contrived. Being able to remember that they are performing on camera can have both its advantages and disadvantages. The best "actresses" during sex scenes are often those that are not acting.
