Hi

I've posted this in The Porn Pool forum but I think this is the right place to post in since I got more of a response here last time. Here's my question...

A while back I asked if you could all come together and help me out picking a DVD for me and my girlfriend.

You went as far as hunting down male pornstars that looked like the male actors and celebrities of today that my girlfriend thinks are attractive, to simply naming DVD titles. For all your help back then, thank you.

I took all your comments on board and bought Jenna Jameson's The Masseuse in the end.

How did it go? Put it this way the following day after we watched it, she made some lame excuse how she wasn't going to come to the store to get some food in, so I made a note of how the DVD box was positioned on the table and it was moved when I got back home. She later confessed all. Needles to say it went down well.

The only thing that she wanted more of in the DVD was sex scenes. There are so many blowjob scenes in the film and about two sex scenes. The only thing she wanted less of was lesbian scenes but we just skipped them or "it" as the case may be since there was only one in the entire movie.

So it's now time to invest in another porn movie for her birthday. (She'll have a bigger porn stash than me at this rate!)

What do you suggest?

- A story driven movie is definitely the way to go, but I'm not sure which one to go for.

- Sex, sex and more SEX scenes and blowjobs scenes just for the beginning of sex scenes

- And finally no or very little lesbian scenes.

Any suggestions?

Thanks so much for all your help everyone

I think I've reviewed everything I'm mentioning here so you can check them out and see what works best for you.

Although there's a few lesbian scenes, Pirates is an amazing feature. The same can be said about Eternity if you want full-on recent features. I'd also recommend anything directed by Stormy Daniels, as I think she's putting out some of Wicked's strongest movies right now. It's been a while, but Axel Braun's Compulsion might also be a consideration if she doesn't mind things getting a little more intense.

If she's wanting more sex, I'd strongly consider looking at some of Evil Angel's features or early Buttman releases. Wild Goose Chase is a great sex filled feature, and the movie that first showed me the potential porn can have. Face Dance is right up there with it (the first part is much more story-driven than the second). Although it's more of a vignette, Buttman Comics Presents: Tales From the Crack has some great setup sequences and is a fantastic release. I'd even suggest checking out some of the early Buttman releases, as Stagliano has a decent storyline running through them while not being so heavily into the anal. I think Buttman's Ultimate Workout and Buttman's European Vacation are both great movies that can be enjoyed by couples.

Thanks Astroknight for your suggestions I had a look at the ones you recommended and also read A LOT of your reviews in the review section and have narrowed it down to the following but I'm really stuch at which one I should go for.

The Gate
Fade to Black
Beautiful (Wicked)

I've picked these ones because of the lack of lesbian activity in them and also the high rating they've received.

So it's over to you people. Whadaya think?

I've got all three of those and would suggest starting with Beautiful .

Fade To Black isn't bad but I don't think it's one of Paul Thomas' best; see if you can find any reviews for Bad Wives , Facade and The Awakening , all of which are better (IMO).

I was quite disappointed by The Gate ; it's a while since I've seen it but I remember finding Joel Lawrence irritating and thinking the whole thing was a bit silly. I think Wild Thing is a much better Alexa title.

Beautiful looks absolutely wonderful and is perfect for couples. It doesn't have as much narrative material as the aforementioned Paul Thomas titles - I seem to remember a reliance on references to mirrors and apples - but Michael Raven does a great job and the cast look fabulous (well, Devinn and Stormy do).

I would say go for Fade to Black over Bad Wives, just because, if I remember correctly, the DVD looked all cut to hell. Avoid The Awakening. It's mucho depressing, and while there is a lot of sex, it isn't as fleshed out as some other features.

Some of Michael Ravens' stuff is really good. I'm a huge fan of Killer Sex and Suicide Blondes as well as one of his older features, Watchers. That one is a major keeper. Out of the newer stuff... Watching Samantha looks really good, and it was written by Stormy. That's a great sign. Her scripts are usually very strong, and balance sex and story very well. You might also want to check out her first directing effort Neighbors. And of course, check out Lover's Lane. There is no girl/girl, lots of sex, and a REALLY good plot.

As for Vivid... Miss Jones is good, but heavy on the girl/girl. Freshness was REALLY good, and has an interesting twist, with all the dialogue being improvised.

About a year ago, we finally got a separate DVD player for
the bedroom, and I posed the question to the Mrs, "Wanna
watch an adult movie?" She's been quite enjoying the
selections I've picked out since then...

Here's a few of the ones we've really enjoyed together:
(in no particular order)

Double Feature
Bride of Double Feature
Hercules
Conquest (Jenna)
Pirates
Elements of Desire
One Sleepless Night
Date from Hell
Time Machine
Vortex
Eternity
Writer's Block
Posession
Western Nights
Haunted Nights
Beautiful
Secret of Harlot Hill
Gladiator 1, 2, and 3 (Private)
Cleopatra 1 and 2 (Private)

and a few of the oldies as well:

8 to 4
Memphis Cathouse Blues
Sexworld
Ultra Flesh
Delicious
Sex Wars
Talk Dirty To Me
Nurses of the 407th
F
Dixie Ray, Hollywood Star
Titillation
Alice in Wonderland
Candy Goes to Hollywood

Of those three, Fade to Black would be at the bottom of my list. If you're looking at Raven's stuff, I'll second checking out Watchers , and suggest Underworld as well (one of my personal all time faves).
