I don't know about apologizing but I know there have been several scenes where it's obvious a girl is about to cum but the director decides to edit out the intimate moment in the final cut.
I gotta say that's really fucking annoying and I wonder if that may lead to some of the female talent apparently apologizing like the OP claims.

I have watched a lot of porn over the last three decades and I may have seen about 20 or so videos where I am almost certain that the woman has an actual real orgasm and of those it's quite possible that many of them were such amazing performer that it was still a fake one.
One that comes to mind is a scene between Darryl Hannah and Brooke Lee Adams in Mother-Daughter Exchange Club 10. I could be wrong but Brooke looks like she had at least one orgasm during that scene and maybe even more than one. All of the other ones that I can think of are scenes with a variety of women and Pierre Woodman in his casting videos.

Yeah, I've watched scenes where it looks like the girl is about to climax but then some weird editing cuts it out and it snaps back to the girl getting pounded more. I guess directors sometimes want the flow to keep going without wasting any time on showing the girl panting and needing a break from an intense orgasm.

I can't name names or titles but I'm pretty sure I've seen it or something like it. My impression is they are "apologizing" for interrupting the workflow of the scene production, for going off script.
