These girls are relatively new to the camera, yet they seem like naturals. They take throatfucking like its nothing. Something girls10-20 years ago would not have been used to. They dont mind the rough sex, and dont shy away from facials. Girls Do Porn is really showing me how deep the impact of porn is, especially on those born in the 90s. And I love it because it means more girls are down for extreme content.

I have to concur with your comments. I think since the shame level of being in the jizz biz is reduced from what it was even ten years ago those with a tendency to be exhibitionists but come from more conservative families are more likely to do porn. This is especially evident in the BDSM arena, ten years ago Peter was almost begging for talent for Kink.com, now he has many more people applying than he can cast in scenes -- reducing the need to recycle the same 20 people through the sites as he was ten years ago. This can be both good and bad, ten years ago women could make a good living performing just for Kink since they were in some cases doing 5-6 scenes a month at about $1000 each and the company paid for their VD testing and transportation. Now few women can get that number of scenes from Kink each month since there are many more willing women available (other than their W-2 employees like Lorelei Lee and Mz. Berlin who have other roles in the company). Don't get me wrong, limited talent is still an issue for the BDSM companies in general but Kink is much less affected if at all nowadays. Now Kink can offer more variety in talent and have about 50 women that meet their requirements to perform for them.
As for Intersec, they seem to have the issue of only having 20 or so women available to perform for them, causing them to depend on in-house talent Rain DeGrey, Dixon Mason, Hazel Hypnotic and Elise Graves (who all have other full time jobs at Intersec). I think that has to do with their reputation for a rougher brand of BDSM than Kink.

I can't comment on this Girls Do Porn site (never heard of it 'til I saw this thread), but it brings up something I do wonder about, which is, with so many people, especially young people, accessing so much hardcore porn, is hardcore stuff like deep-throating, facials and even anal becoming commonplace for a lot of people in their own sex lives? It'd be cool if a lot of girls out there were into this hardcore stuff, but I doubt it.

I know this probably sounds hypocritical but I find the ubiquity and ease of availability of porn in this day and age depressing. Where's the excitement, nowadays, of jerking off to something that your average 10-year old is probably accessing? It's a double-edged sword as porn is now harder, cheaper and available on tap (all of which, I admit, are good things). Still, I remember with fondness the days of my youth when I used to painstakingly journey from sex shop (adult bookstore) to sex shop and newsagent (newsstand) to newsagent in search of 'top shelf' thrills. And 'thrill' is the right word, as it was genuinely exciting to acquire a new magazine or videotape back then. I could feel my boner growing in anticipation on the way home. Now, I finish downloading my 4,000,000th video clip and it's all so 'ho-hum...' Oh well, at least unscrupulous mail-order companies have been rendered extinct (anyone remember when sending off for porn was a genuinely terrifying endeavour? I used to be convinced the parcel would come open in transit or, worse, the rozzers would come knocking (hardcore was still illegal in the UK until about the mid-90s)) and there's no more getting home with your shrink-wrapped magazine only to find black dots covering all the good stuff. No, it wasn't all rose-tinted, I know, but I'd still return there in a heartbeat. If only so I never again had to listen to another smarmy stand-up comedian making jokes about "...clearing my search history, fnarr, fnarr..."
As far as porn nowadays affecting people's real life sexual behaviour, I can't see how it wouldn't. Obviously, blokes are gonna want to replicate what they see in porn. That's only natural, I think. I know I partake in porn-influenced sexual activity (luckily, I have a tolerant and broadminded partner). What always puzzles me is the 'chicken & egg' question when it comes to porn: do I want to give a girl a facial because I've seen it in porn or was it always a subconscious desire for a man (to do this), therefore it is shown in porn? Did cavemen give facials? I guess that's the question.

^yeah, gone are the days of heading over to the smut shops on 42nd St in Times Square. Now it's a walking mall(IIRC) and is full of Flagship stores and theaters showing fare such as the Lion King. Same with the Combat Zone in Boston. I was watching an episode of Cheers recently and they referenced going to the Combat Zone after the bar closed. I chuckled and my nephew said, "What's the Combat Zone?" I just smiled and said, "you wouldn't understand!"

Did anyone see Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle last night (01-03-14) - available on BBC iplayer. Some great material about porn, absolutely encapsulating my own feelings (see my post above ^^).

On topic: I'd imagine the GDP girls are a better cross-section of SeekingArrangement.com than the population. Excellent site, though. They're the best at getting new girls in front of the camera.
Off topic: what were strip clubs like in the 70's-80's? I wikipedia'ed the combat zone, but were the strippers only on-stage, or were there lap dances? Was it like burlesque, or what? I feel like we get spoiled now with full-friction lap dances, but for all I know there was a lot more going on before AIDS started.

I hate to sound like a prude but I personally hope the average ten year old is NOT accessing porn. The maturity level at age ten is just not there to be able to understand porn and the possible consequences of mimicking what is done on screen with the local ten year old cutie (to a ten year old boy, anyway) in pigtails. I can support reducing the age of majority to 16 (the age of majority among other legal things is the age where it is legal to view porn) as I believe the average 16 year old is mature enough to make adult decisions but not some kid at age 10.

^ It was a reference to the fact that the Internet has made it staggeringly easy to see pornography. When I was a child in the 1970s it was very hard to get hold of porn. I think even the most well-intentioned parent has their work cut out nowadays.

I read a study a few years back that noted the increased rates of anal sex among heterosexual teenagers, especially blacks and Hispanics. Further research since then has confirmed the rise of this phenomenon. Needless to say it's a very unsafe, uncomfortable practice for teenagers who don't realize the amount of preparation and the generous use of lube that goes into the average anal scene. Closer to home, my daughter has also confirmed the prevalence of anal, as well as deep-throating and facials, in the sex lives of her classmates. While I'm happy that she's smart and informed and won't do anything she's uncomfortable with, the studies are pretty clear that many other teenage girls are being pressured into that those kind of activities by their boyfriends. I did a lot of experimenting when I was a teenager myself (sorry dad!), but I wanted to do everything I did and the boys back then were often surprised at some of the things I suggested. The current young male, raised on hardcore porn, is of a completely different breed than the boys I dated in the 90s.
Anal and gangbangs, and apparently even bukkakes, are on the rise among college students. I would suspect that deep-throating is as well, though I haven't actually seen any data to confirm that.
mharris127,
I know that years ago the average age of one’s first exposure to online pornography was eleven. By now it could very well be ten or younger, what with the increase of simulated sex acts occurring among elementary school age children.

I was sneaking looks at my father's Playboy's when I was 8. There was an article in a Maxim/Esquire type of magazine a few years ago called "The Pornification of America or something like that. Basically, the idea of the article is that kids today are learning about sex from porn. From a female POV the girls doing porn at 18 already had an idea about camera angles and technique, the interviews with the males in the article ended with notion that all sex ended with a facial. And where else but porn would 16 year old girls get the idea of shaving their pussies? This last part was derived when my GF, her sis in law, and her niece were having a conversation that I wasn't part of.

I don't know if they are really new to the camera because it's possible that many of them are already cam site models and are just unknown to people who don't use cam sites. It's also quite possible that they are escort/prostitute/stripper on the side so doing on screen porn is just an off-shoot. I've been a member of GDP a couple of times and their type of porn isn't what I'd call all extreme. The girls don't do anything more than can be seen on any other site. It's just that they are unknowns but since the site isn't in California so it makes sense that the girls are unknown.
I do agree that porn has moved closer to mainstream media but not by much. Reality TV hires ex-porn performers to appear on some of their shows and some current and ex-porn performers still appear in the odd mainstream movie but again that is nothing new. Where is Sasha Grey's mainstream career now? She was to be the poster child for reformed porn performer and does anyone know what she has done in the last 2-3 years?

From the Huffington Post this morning.
Anyone who has watched even a few minutes of porn may end up with some very particular ideas about what real-world sex entails.
Porn -- at least, the kind where super-toned, tanned, hairless women are penetrated in a variety of acrobatic positions by equally toned, tanned men -- is full of myths about sex. Redditor black_brotha decided to ask women on the site what they "learned" from porn that turned out to be completely untrue in the real world.
Here are 11 of the most worrying un-truths women said porn taught them:
1. That their bodies were abnormal: "I was 100% convinced that I needed labiaplasty and was really ashamed to be naked in front of guy because I thought he would think I was a freak."
2. That all sex focuses on the guy's pleasure: "I thought having sex with a man meant having to pretend I enjoyed it even if I wasn't, that it didn't matter if I had an orgasm, and that it was normal for a guy not to give a shit about my pleasure."
3. That "sexy" is purely physical, and incredibly specific:
I felt like I had to fit into a box I could never fit in. It made me feel dysphoric about not just my body, but who I was. I'm a clumsy, boyish, awkward female, that couldn't do an attractive striptease to save their life AKA the antithesis of your typical "sexy female"... There is more than just one kind of sexy and its all subjective. I've realized that Im sexy in my own way and I'm much happier now.
4. That men don't like women with hair "down there": "I thought men would expect completely hairless women and they would be repulsed by me."
5. That orgasms are almost effortless: "I thought orgasms were much easier to achieve than they actually are. As a result I thought something was wrong with me for a long time. I just assumed that PIV=almost instant orgasm. I was so disappointed to find that wasn't the case."
6. That men only find certain bodies (white, toned and smooth-skinned) attractive: "It did make me think that only women with perfect bodies ever had sex."
7. That all penises are circumcised and eight inches long: "I didn't know uncircumcised penises existed, because all the porn I'd seen prior had circumcised male performers."
8. That insanely complex sexual positions feel good for everyone:
Those positions? Yeah, most of them don't feel good.I know everyone's different, but it is VERY DIFFICULT, bordering on impossible to have an orgasm with that much distance between the partners! Besides, one of the best things about sex is the closeness of skin-to-skin contact.
9. That you had to do everything women in porn videos did in order for your partner to enjoy themself: "It didn't occur to me until like age 27 that I didn't have to let a guy come on my face if I didn't want to. Or I didn't have to swallow. Or that it was okay to not moan if I didn't feel like moaning."
10. That men are always ready and willing: "I thought that all men liked being aggressive and dominant, like in porn, and that if they were under 50, they were always going to be able to get hard and orgasm."
11. That sex between two women is just something that happens between two straight ladies out of boredom: "I thought lesbian sex involved long fingernails, looking bored/disgusted, and waiting for a man to show up."

^ Well, they kind of run together.
As a result of the lack of proper sex education, young people are getting their ideas about sex from the only place they come across it: porn.

^ There was a story running in England not too long ago that the powers that be were considering educating primary school children about porn - such is the inevitability of their encountering it at a relatively early age. Don't know what became of those proposals but I found the fact that it was even being suggested depressing in the extreme.

That is scary. Other than a couple of friends that were sexually molested by family really young (thank God I wasn't) and the girl one year behind me that got knocked up at 16 (Don't know the circumstances but I was one of the few that actually didn't treat her like a pariah -- things were really fucked up back then) when I was a kid no one was even thinking about sex until college. Playboy was out by then (IIRC Playboy started publication in the mid 50's, Stag started a few years earlier) so porn was available. I do not advocate going back to 1960 but I cannot advocate exposing a 10-11 year old child to porn either. As I said I think 16 is a fair age to start treating someone like an adult.

I checked out Girlsdoporn and I honestly didn't see any throat fucking there. The still shots sort of look like that but when you watch the videos it isn't. The girls just take a more submissive hands-off approach, still it's mostly just slow and sensual. Also you can't be certain of the validity of a site like that as far as being amateur. For all we know, it's as amateur as Facial Abuse. In addition, I don't really see what GDP has to say about what girls are wanting to do. This is still directed porn, it follows a routine formula.
Not to take away from OPs point. I do think he is right. Porn has fucked up the minds of today's young women to some degree, but that's hard to measure. However, it does seem that many of them have taken up a recent interest BDSM and specifically submissive roles. It's almost to the point of a trend these days with younger women, I'm almost shocked to hear any young female now say that they don't have at least some degree of interests in experimenting with BDSM and being a sub.

^^I have been a member of GDP a couple of times but their scenes tend to be less than stellar so I've only kept a few of them and I checked the ones that I have and nowhere is there throat fucking. In fact the girl is always the one doing all the work in the BJ(as it should be). I'm sure that there are a few scenes that might have throat fucking but they are uncommon.
GDP is basic by the number gonzo porn but with the twist that the girls are all unknown in the industry. The fact that they aren't in California has probably a lot to do with that. The girls are for the most part very attractive young women but the porn is usually really bad.
I don't think porn has fucked up the minds of young girls because they don't watch porn. Now the same thing can't be said for young men but at what point those a young man's request for sexual favor from a young girl become a serious problem for society in general. Porn wasn't a common thing when I was going to high school and girls were still getting pressured to have sex. If I was to blame anything for what is screwing with girls minds than the fashion industry, reality TV, mainstream TV and movies are far more guilty of this than anything porn has done up to now. Girls are sold on the idea that unless they look a certain way, dress in a certain way or act in a certain way then they are never going to be what they were meant to be.
I'd like to add that I believe the main reason why there is a rise in BSDM porn is because that is one of the few parts of the industry that is still making money and by default they are still hiring performers on a regular basis. I'd even say that they are now hiring more of them then a few years ago because Kink being the biggest BSDM company keeps coming up with new sites and that means repeat business for enterprising young ladies. I know that it's quite common to see the same performer appear on more than one Kink site. I'm sure that it doesn't hurt that Kink is in San Francisco and that they probably offer living quarters for traveling performers.

This is mostly correct. Though I did find one clip labeled as Deep Throat Queen or something, and it actually was throat fucking and seemed pretty rough, actually. But according to the site description, she was an unusual case for GDP. They also claim that it was "her favorite part" of the shoot, which I don't necessarily disbelieve. I think girls are/have become more accustomed to submissive-masochist roles than before, and I would attribute that to porn has shown and taught them.
GDP Deep Throat Queen
Sure, they may not have much interest in actually watching it for personal enjoyment, but they do nonetheless look it up and take mental notes. They know what it's about, they know what guys look up and watch. Most any girl knows what gagging refers to, and have already contemplated whether or not they could do it, same with any other acts frequently seen in porn. I think the message from porn is generally received that the female role is a submissive one, or at least that's what guys want in a sexual partner. Guys aren't forcing girls to replicate the porn routines, girls are choosing to on their own. I've hear many-a personal accounts from girls saying what they want to do, and more and more it sounds like something you'd expect a guy to say. Male serving, submissive, over-the-top rough and degrading treatment. It's the stuff they're saying they want. Whether they genuinely think they want it, or just saying it because they think it's what males want to hear, I dunno. But it's something I definitely notice different in recent years.

I think this thread has some interesting perspectives.
My two cents:
When I was in college, it seemed like the typical women's dorm floor would have a couple girls who were very liberal sexually and let people know it. Many times they would hang out together. They were not only liberal, but very open about their sexuality. Most of the other girls were anxious to find Mr. Right 1.0 and Mr. Right 2.0 (and Mr. Right 3.0 if need be) to explore their sexuality in a few sequential monogamous relationships.
Based on the attitudes I've seen with young woman in the last decade plus, a great percentage on college campuses are probably more liberal sexually. Perhaps they're discreet. Perhaps they're very open about their sexuality. They however seem to be interested in having more experiences with more men than their predecessors two-three decades ago.
This could be a contributing factor why there are so many young girls who are experimenting with limited porn careers. I actually remember watching porn on VHS tapes with co-ed groups and the college women back then would never dare walk into a video store and rent adult videos. Now they can get their education with a click of the mouse.
