| Wally Senior Member 1821 Posts 8/01 |  Posted - Jun 16 2002 : 1:50AMAt least for me, the only reason to see Gladiator from Private is 'cos I wanted to see Tiffany in this movie, ....for those that do not know her, she is the Tennis player in the first scene of Initiations 4, she didn't do anal in that dvd but I was not disappointed with Gladiator, (she is dp'ed in a couple of positions!) ...Adamo made everything possible for the scene to be soft, using slow motion, soft focus and bright lighting, like he always does in all his other movies for Private but Tiffany is so pretty and hot that her scene did it for me.(thank GOD! no black and white close ups) [Link] |

You watch the little thing make some bubbles... Then it swims to the left. Swims some more to the right. Or eats. Or stares back at you with its bulgy fish eyes. I don't think Gladiator will bomb like "Uranus" did, for the reason that it's so formulaic and passionless (according to some well-established Blakian rules) that people can't really judge it too harshly, 'cos they think that, somewhere out there, there is still the occasional porn viewer, the "couple" or the generic fan of quality Erotica, that will find this stuff just perfect. So, in front of a faceless fan, or legions of them, according to Private, it's really hard to argue. Adamo used to direct commercials. I think he still does. Two notes: Perry, with his perm, looks great doning the Centurion helmet (priceless). Part 1 is not kolossal at all. I think it's just a build-up for the next two parts. Compared to Salieri's Faust 1 (impressive), Gladiator looks like Joe D'Amato directing with his left hand. [Link] |
