I'm just curious how others feel about something that bugs me. I can't stand it when porn directors/companies or reviewers go out of their way to be as graphically crude in describing acts or emissions. I'm no Pollyanna, but seriously, I recently read a review here where someone called a cumshot, nut nougat. We all know what it is, but that just seems to be going out of your way to be crude. The same holds true for movie titles. A good example for me is Cum Fart Cocktails. No offense Jake, I love your movies, but this title is a little much in my opinion (honestly, the act isn't my thing either, but I know some of you love it, so I glad a quality flick could be made for you). I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I thought I'd ask.

yea i agree with you, there was a time when porn was hot sex, but now shitting things out into other girls' asses is "hot". I like kinky crazy sex but sometime it crosses the lin to unhealthy and disgusting. directors seem to put out porn for each other. not the regular joe porn watchers.

I feel what you're saying on the acts, maniac killa. I'm not actually that bothered by those (for some weirdly hypocritical reason), though I do avoid certain acts if they don't strike my fancy. I really am speaking more to the ways people describe them in, often times, the most disgusting sounding terms.

Try writing a review without repeating yourself incessantly to describe the same exact act performed in perpetuity. Nut nougat is pretty nifty, imo.

That's exactly what I mean, flying_postman. Picman, I hear what your saying in that respect, it just seems that there is a way to do this without being overtly crude.

When I watch what I assume is "regular" porn from the title and the stars, and then get to see dirty anal, girls drinking cum from each others assholes etc, I am frankly a bit offended. If you want to watch it, fine, but it should be niche stuff that you don't stumble upon in regular titles.

I do understand the sentiment. Although I'm personally not really offended by much of anything, I don't find terms like "ball snot" or "Cumfart Cocktails" to be a turn on, either. It's just gross. And gross in a way that doesn't make me want to jerk off.
I don't have a problem with this kind of thing in general because it's pretty easy to figure out which flicks it's going to pop up in. If it's called "Cumfart Cocktails" and you don't like that sort of thing, you can just write that one off on the title alone.
However, since the same people make most of the porn that you watch, there's always going to be things that spill over.
OTOH....I LOVE crude humor. But I don't jack off to it.
I imagine it would be great for someone whose main turn on is extreme crudeness. That never really did it for me. I do like things to be filthy and crude sometimes. But I really tire of it being done just for the sake of being crude. The participants aren't even turned on by it. They're just doing it because they'[ve been told to or they think (for whatever reason) that's what everyone likes to see and hear.
I think a certain amount of filth is necessary for good porn but it takes extreme finesse to do it in a way that doesn't just turn most people's stomachs.

Hey it's porn. It's supposed to be dirty. For the jaded "dirty" gets farther and farther away.

Of course. But people have different ideas about what makes a "dirty movie". To some people, just plain old fuckin' is "dirty". Others like something a little more nasty. While still others like the extreme stuff. Nobody's right but there are probably, in truth, far fewer who like the real nasty stuff than the milder stuff.
Not really. Some of us were jaded from the moment we saw our first porn. Hell, they're just starting to do stuff I had fantasies about when I was 13.

Yeah, I prefer a bit of class in the titles actually, no matter how perverted the content, instead of lame puns and crude bullshit.
Evilution, Bitchcraft, Fetish Fanatic all have kinky sex and reasonably clever titles. Back in the day, even something like Waterpower wasn't called Enema Rape.

I think you hit on something here. People are just not naturally so overtly exhibitionist. Even if they want to do filthy things, there's still that little something that holds them back and tempers their behavior in a way that isn't usually duplicated in porn. So it comes off as seeming mechanical and crude just for it's own sake.
One of my first sexual experiences, a girl in my class was sleeping over with my sister. My sister went to take a shower and we were just sitting around playing video games. We both were attracted and we both knew it. Anyway, I was busy playing the game and suddenly noticed that she had her hand in her pants. She just walked over and ran her finger under my nose. She didn't say a word. She didn't have to. Just the look on her face and the scent on her finger were enough. It wasn't much but it was SO hot!
So my point is that they don't have to bounce each other off the walls. There's more to sex than just how overtly nasty it can be and how many dicks one girl can fuck at once.

These descriptive terms serve the very issue of keeping those easily offended by it, from stumbling upon it while grazing the otherwise mundane, and colorless mainstream.
If these acts were coined with some innocuous term such as a "rift gift that goes pffft", rather than a "cumfart cocktail", most readers would simply never notice, nor identify the flatulent anal nougat, they just bought, and inevitably all hell would break loose.

Agreed. It's cum, do we really have to have stupid euphamisms for it.

I was thinking about this tonight and realized from a company or director's perspective that a descriptive title of this nature helps to a.) get across the specialty act in the title and, more importantly, b.) have their title stand out from the masses on the shelves and therefore increase their profit. In this respect, I can truly understand why someone might name their movie in this manner. Still, as mentioned by Black Six, I find, in general, that I will be more attracted to picking up a movie that may have certain elements if it has a more innocuous or less base title. I mean, bottom line, like many of you, I like some of the really dirty, kinky acts that transpire in today's pornography, but I might not give a title a chance if the name really turns me off by being really tasteless.

I thought "cum" was a stupid euphemism... ?
Criticizing porn for being tasteless and vulgar seems a little stupid too.
And as long as we're on the subject of baseness and vulgarity, when is someone gonna bring rape and incest back to porn??

Is cum a euphamism? I never really thought of it as such. Thanks for your views, William, but, imho, just because something appeals to a person primally as porn often does, does not mean that it cannot have any class. I am not actively trying to criticize porn. Well, maybe a little. My main reason for starting this thread was due to some stuff I had seen over and over again in reviews I read on this site. I expanded that to porn titles, because in some cases, it also applies. It doesn't even really offend me, it just kind of turns me off. And yes, I am fully aware that having no problems with certain acts, but having problems with phrasing is probably stupid and hypocritical. I can't help that, its just the way I feel.

I find it hard to imagine that anyone would be sensitive enough to be offended by a title like 'Cum Fart Cocktails' and yet perfectly happy to watch a film depicting girls farting cum out of their rectums.
Personally the nastier and more explicit the better - if anything I find these titles hilarious and honest. Filthy names for filthy acts.
On the other hand maybe some reviewers get bored of saying 'cum' over and over again in every scene review, and choose to expand their vocabulary with some more fruity terms to make things more interesting?

Exactly. These are terms that already exist and people use in most cases. I don't see anything wrong the title of a movie saying what's going on in the movie. If the act is referred to by a certain name and you have no problem watching the act then why be bothered by the name? I think the name is nothing compared to the actual act.

If a movie were titled "Sexy Ass" and I was of the sensitive kind and I popped the vid into the player only to see girls shitting cum into other's mouths I would feel betrayed by the title. The dirty titles usually suggest exactly what the movie is. Notice I did say "usually".

Like I said before, I'm not actually offended by these terms, I just find them unneccessarily base. Some of the more extreme acts, like a cumshot in someone's anus or milk enemas don't bother me, I even occasionally watch them, but they aren't particularly something I love. As acts, they are "dirty" or "kinky" and that is part of their appeal, as taboo. Just because we are watching or even engaging in a primal, visceral or taboo act does not mean we have to treat it as base. Just think of it like this, what if you were engaged in sexual intercourse with your partner, and in this case, I will say female partner. You're in the heat of the moment and you want to cum inside her or she wants you too at that moment. Are you going to tell her, "I want to cum inside you" or will you say, "I want to shoot my baby batter in you". I just cannot imagine the response to the latter being good. You just took something with heat and debased it by acting like a child engaged in poo-poo/pee-pee/gross humor. I know that example is a strech, but it is the only way I can think to put this idea into practice. I might engage in an act with someone, but would I try and make it sound as crude as possible when trying to convince them or talk to them about it. In my case, no.
Again, in reference to the review, I can see how trying to creatively come up with ways to describe the all important cumshot would get difficult, buy the review that spurred this thread, which is just one of many, couldn't have been more than 100 words. It was just one of those name the talent and describe position kind of reviews, so how laborious could that be to write? Maybe it is and I just don't realize it. Who knows?

I think we might just lose the moment as the giggles overtake us, but in context of a review, I think a little light hearted laughter is a good thing. A more entertaining read, if you will.

if I wasn't so lazy I'd go back to some of the threads that wanted readers to sugest a title for a specific genre movie.See if theres any hypocritics in here

Big Matt, by calling it Cum Fart Cocktails it is playing to its niche. YOu know what you are getting just by the title. No different than say; Big Black Cocks/Little white girls, Black Meat/Asian Treats, DP Girls, etc etc. But on the other hand, having reviewed porn films for several websites, it gets kind of boring to say cumshot or cum in a review consistently. This is nothing new, read old porn reviews in Hustler or Hustler's Erotic Video Guide. The word cum was only mentioned once per review. All the other times it was two words put together beggining with the same letter. Personally, I feel the only time the word Cum should be mentioned at all in porn is when the girl says, "Cum in my mouth" or "Cum on my tits!" But in reviews it should be Ball Batter, Cock Crud, Dick Dribbles, Gonad Goo, Penis Pudding, Cock Snot, Testicle Tonic and my all time favorite is "Pecker Paste!"
