Thompson's gonzo journalism, and originally meant scenes and/or whole movies where the camera man was a character that the on-screen performers talked and interacted with. Like if someone at a party gets their camcorder out, all their friends will still talk to the person with the camera. In mainstream terms, the Blair Witch Project was kind of gonzo, in that the characters acknowledged that they were being filmed, and talked to which ever of them had the camera at any moment. But over time, gonzo porn has come to mean pretty much anything that is not a feature, whether there is ever any interaction between the camera man and performers or not. Apparently the best dividing line today between what is gonzo and what is not, is whether the girls ever look at the camera or not. Gonzo likes a little eye contact between the girl and the camera, at least here and there, while in featureland eye contact with the camera is highly discouraged, most of the time.
