Power Rankings are different in that they rank teams according to their most current performances - a team can be first in the standings but could be on a 5 game losing streak so its power ranking could be among the lowest. Gonzo is the most competitive area of the porn industry. New studios seem to pop up overnight, some have an instant impact, others languish or disappear quickly like shooting stars, old gonzo studios hold their ground or fade. So give me your Gonzo Studio Power Rankings - based on where these companies are right now, not past glory, based on the quantity of product, the quality of it, who's selling the most, how much buzz is there about the studio,etc. I am including web operators as well who pump out alot of gonzo movies. I'm no expert, I just keep my ear to the ground and surf the Net alot including this website. 1. Redlight District Video Those are my top 7. Mason -- She's the only director at Plat X who puts out work I enjoy consistently, and Riot Sluts is top on my "acquire" list when it's released. Talk about quality over quantity... Evolution Erotica -- I'll follow Guy Capo wherever he lands. JM Productions -- I can't help it... Jim Powers is still putting out some interesting stuff, and he seems to have matured lately. Anyone seen "Filthy Things"? Very cool stuff.

Or are you talking about vignette porn where the actors are playing a character? I hate features - but i think it is possible to shoot vignettes that are half feature half gonzo - in fact that's what these reality video sites are really doing, when done well it can work and is a step up on what u call 'couch porn' where we get the 5 minute interview 'Hi what's your name? You're hot" "Thank, I'm Lauren" "Nice name, where are you from Lauren?" "I'm from Canada" "Oh you're from Canada, it's cold up there" "Hahaha....yes it is" "Would you say you're a sexual person?" "Hell yeah, I love sex" "That's great, what types of sex do you enjoy?" "How old were you when you lost your virginity?" "Do you like girls?" ....zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Seriously if you're going to shoot couch porn think about the interview, how to make it better, you don't have to be Howard Stern or David Letterman to do better than 95% of the guys doing these shoots. Maybe sit down and write out some questions you think will draw out some interesting answers - offbeat questions - anything to get the girl to open up and be more conversational and real. Then edit the interview - help make it more interesting. [Link] |

Same type of lines, niches? i couldn't rank them on my list because I haven't seen anything. I have seen Simon Wolfe and it's not going on any list of mine. and *subject to change* is what Power Rankings are all about - they should change, as studios og through strong periods and slumps and of course it's all subjective so when you get bored of a studio some new studio will intrigue you and then they would be near the top of your Power Rankings.
