Hence HoustonDon, Astroknight, Diesel, Saki, Sonic, Darkmage, Steph, Drew, Evil_Rip, -lunacy-, and all the adultdvdtalk reviewers. With or without Alexandria's scene (which I have indeed scene), this remains one of John's best movies to date thanks to steaming hot performances from Zara, Talia James, Darla Derriere, Madison, Patricia Kennedy...

I think people tend to look more fondly on Alexandria's scene BECAUSE it had to be cut. People always want what they can't have.

Consumers who don't know that scene ever existed probably tend to think their money was well spent.

You have all the constitutional rights to be p.o. about the quality of the DVDs your purchase. It's your money, you paid for it, and you deserve only the best.

But I work at a video company that recently entered the DVD market, and I would like to present at least another side of the coin.

Authoring a DVD is expensive. VERY expensive when it comes to some over-elaborated title like MIB, Matrix or Gladiator . But in the case of those high-profile titles, you can be sure that they will sell like hotcakes.

But the same thing cannot be said about XXX titles. Do you really think that Buttman's Travels Into The Buttcrack of Brazilian Beach Bitches Vol. XXV will have any chance to outsell Gladiator ?

I don't think so.

That's why porn companies usually don't invest THAT much in their titles. The returns simply doesn't cover the cost.

Of course, that's no excuse for poor transfers like Girls on Fire ; even so, you won't be seeing porns with anamorphic widescreen of DTS mix in the near future.

I never had the chance to watch Evil Angel's original DVD's (they don't send screeners to Brazil), only some of their titles authored here by Careware, and at least one of em, Scorpion 11 , has the weirdest layer change I ever saw in my whole life: damn thing changes layers TWICE in less than 15 seconds!

So far the only other EA title I saw was the artifact-ridden version of Dog Walker , so I'm not the right person to judge.

I`m sure if they had the funds they would release Matrixesque discs, but until then this is as good as it gets.

Evil Angel dvds always contain loads of extras and visually impressive menus. (I for one, would buy even bare bone discs just to own their productions)
Even Private (who have a lot more money to spend) release discs that lack any imagination when it comes to extras (same old trailers/ bios /web links).

To conclude : Evil Angel ROCKS !!!

P.S. come on EA - Release the rest of the excellent EURO ANGELS & HARDBALL series NOW. GAPES RULE !

Removed user: If a title is edited, for legal reasons that I can understand (I don't want anyone going to jail because of an idiotic juvenile that scammed people), it should either be offered for a lower cost or have other stuff added to make up for it. If, like in Venus or Vivid's case, the movie is edited for no good reason, the company should lose business until they fail. I trust Evil Angel's decisions a lot more than most others out there and it's one of the reason's I like them.

I also don't know what you said or did to get banned but given the latitude shown here most of the time, it must've been pretty harsh.

Baron: did I tell you color blind was better? (I don't recall saying that since I'm not remembering any volumes of that series off hand. Thanks for the comment but my opinions are generally only as valid as someone else's. I try and support "why" I don't like something a bit more than a few of you but in the end, all of our opinions are valid for ourselves.

Planet: I don't recall Dog Walker being that bad...

Tricia: Keep making great dvd's but if you have to edit something, let us know about it-it won't change my opinion of the first rate operation you run. (also remember that I'm usually the biggest stickler for technical values here)

Hardz: my understanding of how it works here is that if someone openly attacks another and is warned to back down by Drew or Steph, backing down is the only acceptable response. Telling the Tech God (that's Drew for you newbies) to go ahead and ban you is will probably yield you the response you requested. Sometimes it's better to cool down a bit before acting rash.
