Does anyone know if AdultDvdEmpire is planning on running their Gonzomania sale this year? I think they normally start in March. It has been a long time since their last good sale.

I'm with you in hoping for another Gonzomania month.
I also agree with you that their sales in the past year have less than great. They used to regularly have B1G1 or 50% off from select studios sales.
There are people from AdultDVDEmpire on this board; can any of you give us any info?

This year we don't plan to have a gonzo month sale. It requires an enormous amount of additional product, labor and resources to setup and run that sale. Unfortunately it isn't feasible in the current economic environment.

I would have thought that with the economic slowdown, and the competition from online porn, having a big sale might be what was needed to get people to buy more. Sure, the profits would be less, but the increased volume sold would help offset that.

I never shop at AdultDvdEmpire anymore. What happened to their buy 1 get 1 free selected studio sale every month, etc.? They have raised prices. Just no reason to buy from them anymore.

Wow, ADE has even done away with the free shipping no minimum that they've had for so many years. No more coupons. What's next? There is serious competition out there. I don't get it. Are they trying to appear less attractive to their customers?

So they raised it to $25.00 like many places have to receive the free shipping. Amazon has been like that for 10 years and they hold the order for up to a week as well when you select the free shipping option.

Yeah, I know others have $50, $75, $100 minimums, but that's usually what would draw me in to ADE. I think it's a mistake. I know times are tough, but I think they're making it worse on themselves.
