Bad News

As to whether Le Castel should be the director of Private Gold, I don't know. Has he ever done any feature style movies? He usually does the same old thing, whatever the title! Don't get me wrong, I had some Matador DVDs arrive today so I do enjoy his movies a lot.

Maybe Private should give him a different series, and encourage him to produce something that is a departure from his regular style. But then again, I guess that his regular style is what you want, just more of it!

Adamo appeals to Private in as much as his style is closer to this "lifestyle" image that they are trying to promote - you know, the locations, the looks, the styling, the young and lovely people, an aspirational kind of thing. It's hard to try to promote Private as a modern, legitimate business if all their directors are concerned with scouting round Eastern Europe looking for young girls to take it up the ass. Adamo lets Private appeal to people who don't buy much porn, maybe no porn at all. It's a way in, maybe they pick it up and say "hey, this is not as bad as I thought!" I mean this of course in the sense that non-porn viewers may find the Matador style just a little shocking at first!
