Just thought I would let everyone know that I had a pleasent experience buying from DVD Advantage.
I bought seven AWESOME Nu-tech Digital titles on sale, all in stock, on Wednesday January 10 at night (it shipped on Thursday) and it arrived Monday morning. I used three day select option that they had offered, I didn't mind paying the extra cost, since I used their 10% off coupon, and to top it all, I get KICKBACKS.
Be expecting seven Nu-tech Digital reviews soon!

Normally, I'd have to agree with you...until recently, that is. An order I placed with them back in December included a DVD that was defective (unsynched or no sound). I got an RA number from them and sent it back. They received it on 12/22/01, and I have yet to receive a replacement copy. In addition to this, the next order I placed also had a defective DVD (no sound). I have e-mailed them twice now so I can get an RA number to return it for a new copy, and to find out what happened to the replacement DVD from the previous order. I've yet to hear back from them. I used to order from them quite often, but now I don't think I'll be giving them my business again. Just thought you all should know.
Well, I used DVD Advantage just once, so I don't know if they've improved or not? I couldn't resist not taking Advantage of the sales.
[I normally use adultDVDempire, because they took back titles that were defected (which happened about three times) or that I didn't like (they credited my account for two titles from Max Hardcore)]
sorry to hear about your trouble, nothing sucks more than buying a defective disc and sending it back, and then wait for the replacement to arrive.

I've had nothing but good experiences with DVD Advantage, I have made most of my purchases through them. The discs have all come quickly and defective ones were replaced speedily.
DevilBro, this is Michael from dvdadvantage.com. I've searched high and low for any e-mails from you and can't find any correspondance. Please contact me ASAP so I can correct any problems you might be having. Customers are hard to come by and I don't want to loose you. TOLL FREE 877-707-5662 OR mcr@dvd88.com
Ironically, I called just before you posted here, and everything is now squared away. The person I talked to explained that you had been experiencing some problems with your e-mail system. All is forgiven.
See, it's good to have people concerned about customers.
But I have a question for the people at DVDadvantage, I bought 7 DVDs from you, not thinking I would order again from you, so I didn't set up an Account, just a one time order, but now I want to set up an account. So do I need to enter all the credit card info again, or can you e-mail me?
-this isn't the email I used for the order, I have a seperate one for orders. But I would love any feedback.

To set up an account you can use any email address (It does NOT have to be one that you used to place an order.)
However in order for you to look up your previous order(s), you MUST enter in thr credit card(s) number that was used to place the order. (You can enter in an unlimited number of credit cards)
this just hit me, You can enter in an unlimited number of credit cards , as being funny! Unlimited? Whoa, that would be a pile of bills. I only use one for online purchases with a low limit. So where is this all going...
I had another good experience with DVD Advantage, but why not great, you may ask?
I am not sure what exactly is involved, UPS is good for deliveries, but when you order, oh let's say, 4 DVDs, as I just did, it does get expensive. Plus I was at school in the morning, when the UPS guy delivered the package and he didn't leave it! So I had to wait an extra day!
No big problem.
Just thought I would say I had two good experiences with DVD Advantage & suggest offering USPS Priority Mail Service for all who order.
DVD Advantage was having problems with USPS Priority Mail a few months ago and switched to UPS. Now that things seem to be closer to being back to normal (no more Anthrax threats), I too hope that DVD Advantage considers offering USPS Priority Mail again in the future. It's cheaper and, for those of us in the east, twice as fast as UPS ground.
I've already had a conversation with the folks at Advantage about this very issue. I'm not sure that they'll be real eager to switch back to USPS for domestic shipments. They were hit with a lot of credit card charge backs due to lost shipments in Oct - December of last year. It was a huge mess and a serious financial burden not to mention the number of customers that were pissed off.
When a lost package results in a charge back a retailer has lost the inventory, the payment and they get stuck with a penalty fee that's anywhere from $25 - $50 per incident. If you get too many charge backs in a short period of time you can lose your merchant account which is the kiss of death for an online retailer.
UPS offers resonable rates and real-time shipment tracking for all packages. They also don't lose nearly as many deliveries.
I don't know about DVD Advantage. I purchase a DVD title from them almost 6 weeks ago and I've yet to see it. I emailed them twice and got not response, I just emailed them again today for the third time. I already paid for the stuff and I've nothing to show for it. Are they still in business? cause they won't last long if this continues.
Well! Here's one for the record. MICHAEL from DVD Advantage contacted me after seeing my post about not receiving my order after paying for it. He emailed me and offered me an apology for the screw up then reimburse my account and offered me a free DVD and free shipment too. This is CUSTOMER SERVICE. I hope this will not happen again, but it's nice to know some vendors are willing to go that extra yard to please customers and will do what it takes to keep us shopping at their store. Now all he has to do now is to get rid of some of those crappy studio titles and stick to giving us great prices from quality studio like Anabolic/Diabolic, Evil Angels, Elegant Angel, Extreme Associate and Red Light District etc....and he'll get rich(er)
Actually! Yea. This is a great way for them to find out what the customers like and dislike about the products and service they offer. I am also aware that film producers and Directors are in here too. I hope they get inspiration from some of the topics. Remember! It's porno so make it nasty as hell, with the best looking ladies, with lots of extras, plenty of chapter stops and excellent picture quality and lot of anal(my favorite).
I have found with DVD Advantage (as well as some of hte other vendors that woork with adultdvdtalk) that it is not necessary to complain publicly in order to get great service to fix a problem.
An e-mail to Michael or Jon (Michael's business partner) has always been all it has taken to get them to take care of a problem.
