Yet when you watch the video, during the scenes there is none or very faint if that. Anybody think that music enhances sex scenes? And I'm talking about some "hard hitting" music to match the heat of the action thats going on. Not that you don't hear the action or voices too, but music loud enough to get you pumped up. I know most vivid & wicked have it, but not so much in other companies. (just mostly in their trailers) Any recommendations of porn titles that have kick ass music during sex scenes? example: I know its kinda old but Gang Bang Angels 02 with J.R. Carrington hard a really good soundtrack during her scene. It really intensifed it. [Link] |

(and no rookie music group or singer either, i mean famous groups and famous singers) the day that porn goes hand in hand with music artist, I guarantee you that the tunes and songs are going to blow the roof off of every famous dance club around! why just the sound of the first notes will desintegrate thongs and panties to smoke. |

| dvd4dvd Deactivated User 292 Posts 6/07 | very wrong. 1 night in bed with a total hot babe plus one hell-of-a-song that rocks, and trust me, your cock will be shooting like a torpedo big gun salute off a navy ship! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!... Before you jump to the start and say..."that sounds dumb, and you just don't believe it"..find yourself a hottie that would just love to jump on your BONE to the sound of Limp Biskut or Def Leopard's "pour some sugar on me" and after you cock is done shooting off battle torpedo cum shots and it looks like an etheopian on slim fast after shooting off so much cum, THEN YOU CAN talk, till then, try it, you might just like it. I KNOW SHE WILL... |

| Baggio Member 451 Posts 7/04 | Take Nicki Hunter's Psychotic for example. Great trailer with kick ass music that really made me want to get the movie. Yet when I saw the dvd. The music was completely absent. No music during any of the scenes, except for some very light stuff in between the sex scenes. That is unfair and misleading in imo. Many, many companies are guilty of this. |

| Vooodoo Member 30 Posts 8/07 | The issue of "better" music in porn will always be a question of “Synchronization rights”. All rights to recordings are, in nearly all cases, owned by record labels who charge license fees for that recording to be used, or "Synchronized" with visual footage whether it be a film, TV commercial or such. Obviously successful commercial artists signed to major labels are very choosey about where their music is used and charge exorbitant fees for such use. So the lesser known the artist, the cheaper the license fees, but at the end of the day it is far easier for a film production house to either commission a composer to put something together (think of the cheesy porn soundtracks of the 70's and 80's as an example) or more commonly, to purchase the music "Royalty Free". In essence this involves paying maybe a couple of hundred dollars for a specialist pre-recorded soundtrack that can be used in whatever fashion you would like as you have already reimbursed the songwriter for its use through the inflated purchase price. This is similar to purchasing royalty free images for advertising rather than having to pay a photographer to do an entire shoot. At the end of the day it comes down to the margins as to where the production budget is invested. Granted it would be good for some companies to put more thought into soundtracks as it can certainly enhance the visual aspect of the overall product. |

Also, as to best background music, what is really hot during love-making scenes is Flamingo guitar music. Wow. It builds and climaxes with ever increasing tempos. I have made several home movies with this in the background and wow! Double the pleasure of watching! Non intrusive but it really creates the mood, along with her maoning in ectasy. Oh la la! | randallstarr Member 40 Posts 10/07 | And I don't like rock/rap in porn - it works sometimes with West Coast, but I'm not watching the movie so I can listen to music. The music is supposed to complement the movie and provide mood for the scenes. I don't like hearing lyrics and conventional songs in porn, and am offended when the director thinks I should actually listen to his little brother's shitty band at all. Forcing me to listen to awful music is the #1 way to get ejected and your movies never again given the time of day. Music is like that - the dichotomy of good and bad / personal taste is SO broad that good music can be so mood altering, and bad music can be punishing. Musical tastes are so diverse that if you play this or that you're taking this guy or that guy out of the scene, like you can't win. Just stay away from it, I think it's (the silence) one of the reasons the Naughty America movies do so well. I remember in The Wicked One, where Jenna sang the title song and they cut a couple tracks - they must've lost money and asked themselves "What the fuck are we doing and why is Jenna Jameson singing?" Some - like Eon McKai or Antonio Passolini think they're so talented, skilled or some shit they add so much music, special effects, cool editing, inventive photography, never before seen art direction, and when they're done all they have is a big fuckin' mess and a porn movie no one cares to see since they jerked off all over the celluloid with all their film school bullshit. |
