Does anyone know where I can order DVDs for delivery in the UK. At the moment I purchase all my discs retail and hence am limited to what is available in store. Many of the DVDs I wish to purchase having read reviews or recommendations (at this forum) are unavailable in my local shop. I want to find a supplier so I can take the guesswork out of buying a disc that I know little about and just purchase because I am in the shop. I had to wait 18 months for them to get their first Anabolic Gangbang Girl DVD onto the shelf so you can see what I mean. Thanks for any help.

I don't think you'll get very far by relying on UK markets. Your only hope of getting any of the new DVDs at a decent price, in their original condition (uncut) and as soon as they come out is to buy from one of the US suppliers on this forum. FiveStar seem to be about the best, followed by LasersEdge. As for reviews, try RAME.net & CAVR.

Both Adultdvdempire and Jadedvideo have shipped DVDs at good prices to the UK with no problems at all.

For uncencored DVDs shipped inside the UK I'd recommend www.vidshop.com - they are slightly pricey but have a good range, and I've never had any problems ordering stuff from them.
Alternatively you may find its a lot cheaper to import DVDs from the US - I normally used www.cduniverse.com and have never had an item impounded by customs.

We also supply uncut porn to the UK, shipped from within the UK, so no problems with customs for you. See our link in the "where to shop" link to your left or go directly to YourChoice UK.

No offence to jacco, but last time I bought from Your Choice, although around 10 years ago, most of their stock weren't original copies, but rather tape to tape or DVD to tape jobs. It could have all changed in that time though, cause, after all, we are talking about The Dark Ages of porn in the UK, aren't we? I just thought I'd mention it all the same for Ripper's sake.

As has already been suggested, you're better off ordering from the US. Check out the International Shopping Advice thread for lots of good recommendations and information. The dollar/pound exchange rate is extremely favourable at the moment too.

For VHS that is still the case, as we buy the copyrights for the movies and make our own copies (easier to ship mastertapes than boxes full of bulky tapes) in the UK and ship them from there. And they are not tape-to-tape copies, they are made from mastertapes.

10 years ago we didn't even sell DVD's

The dark ages are still not over in the UK, but all the DVD's we sell are originals, incuding box and artwork, and shipped from within the UK.

I stand corrected my good sir. Although it was around ten years ago as I said, I do remember buying VHS from some company and there being the DVD menu at the beginning before the show started. I expect I got those shows from another company, 'cause I did get some vids from other distributors.
There I most certainly agree with you, as I found out the other day when I went to the newsagents to buy my Score mag and found it all blobbed & hacked at by Score themselves!

We still have cupboards full of those big old mastertapes from those times, we would get those from the producer and we still have the equipment to use them, you would be surprised at how many people still don't have a DVD-player
I read that, it's a bloody disgrace. There are many magazines and websites who don't take our advertisements, since selling porn by mailorder is still illegal in the UK. Just a few years ago somebody got send to prison just for shipping our catalogues (BBC story)...
Last year I spoke with somebody working for one of the big UK publishers of topshelf magazines and she told me that every picture they want to use is being checked by their legal council before printing them, dark ages indeed!

It's a disgrace especially seeing that Score are the only ones that have blobbed and cut from their magazine in 5 odd years. Neither Cherri, Fox, nor any of the others that I know of do it. Both Cherri and Fox are harder stuff than Score and they can get past the UK censor quite easily without a blob or cut anywhere to be seen!

As far as I can tell, about the only mag porn that's illegal in the UK now is the kiddie and animal porn, which is as it should be.

Actually, the rules for magazines are basically the same as for R18, so quite a lot more than kiddies and animals are restricted. But most magazines know exactly what they can do and are not willing to fight the law. But the courtcases of Pabo and Interfact might go all the way to the European Court...

As far as I'm aware of we're now pretty much on a par law wise with mainland Europe and the US, so there shouldn't be any mainstream publications from any of these areas that's censored.

Actually, from what I can remember it was the European courts that overturned the Victorian laws on porn in this country, so at least the European Union was of some benefit after all.

That is unbeleivable! You could be responsible for a really nasty assault and get a lesser sentence.

So 'Sharon Thomas' was convicted of distributing obscene material (catalogues)? She was not held responsible for distributing the films, right?
What was the offending photo? Was it pissing or fisting? Or stronger?

Was David Waterfield immune from prosecution being based in Holland? Would he be liable for prosecution if he returned to the UK?

Sharon was only doing the catalogus, no movies. I have no idea what picture they found offending, the pictures in the catalogue are usually just the frontcovers of the movies.
Dave isn't with the company anymore, but I think he still doesn't want to visit the UK...

Hmmm....does that mean Aline of Erodvd does not want to visit the UK? Or would this be different circumstances?

There is a difference, Aline has (I guess) like me a Dutch passport, and it would be hard to convict a Dutch citizen in the UK for something which is totally legal in the Netherlands. If you have a British passport though...

(I visit the UK regularly)

Don't be like that sir wankalot!

I must admit though that I often wish I'd be born a Dutchman!
