I think I can account for the best places in Minneapolis/St.Paul should any folks be interested.

In downtown Minneapolis you have the big Kahuna known as Sex World,they've got 3 floors of goodies,booths,toys,models,gay,etc.A few blocks over is Lickety Split,a smaller one level place that is pretty clean(not sleazy and dark,ya know,we've been to these types of places!)and seemingly crammed with the same amount of stuff as Sex World.

Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend any of these places for great deals.They pretty much sell things at the $39.99 level,even for old films.

Although I'm a renter 99% of the time,there are smaller places around the cities that have good deals.

Video Lease-basically a mom and pop style vid store,they have great discounts and even the new releases you can usually buy alot cheaper than anywhere else.

Love Doctor-a new place on University avenue sometimes has good deals on comps and old titles.

Shinders-These are magazine stores all throughout the Twin Cities.They usually have an adult book section in back,and although you may not find anything out of the ordinary(they usually stick to the obvious big names)they do discount pretty reasonably alot of the time.I'd recommend the one in downtown Minneapolis.Shinders forever!!!!!!!

Anyway, since I asked for it, I'll give my "trip reports" for Ohio because I see a few others on the board live here as well. Hope this is at all informative. Part 1 - Central and Southern Ohio

COLUMBUS = Pretty much the mecca of Porn in Ohio.

4 Lion's Den locations - Morse Rd., Harrisburg Pike, Roberts Rd., and Kimberly Parkway.

Morse Rd. is the best and the busiest. They have a sale right now buy 2 $39.99 get one free. They just had a big sale, all their Anabolic/Diabolics, selected RLDs, and all Max Hardcores for $19.99. Sale is over though I stocked up on the Max Faktors.

Kimberly Parkway has a decidedly "urban" flavor to it. This is the place to get your ethnic or IR releases. They just had a sale too, and I picked up some rare out of print Rodney Moore titles at $19.99. They also had their Devil's Films at $19.99 for a while too.

Roberts Rd. is the newest and has the best selection, but everything is at full MSRP $39.99.

Harrisburg Pike is famous for their used DVD section but I haven't ventured into that territory.

Zodiac Books on Trabue Rd. (Formerly Trabue Books) in San Margherita is a typical raincoater's haven. They have a lot of rare stuff though like old Extreme Associates DVD's. Havent been out there in a while but the atmosphere is sleazy. They rent their stuff out too.

World Video (2 locations - Morse Rd. and Broad St.). Extremely sleazy. Sells and rents all their DVD's. Highest purchase prices in the area ($49.99).
They have some good deals too at $24.95, but they are ex-rented discs.
I generally stay away although I like the atmosphere.

There's another place called Bargain Adult Video on Karl Rd. I'm going to check out next time I'm there.

NEWARK - The Lion's Den in Newark, maybe 30 min. east of downtown Columbus, is the best. They have the best prices in the area. This is my porno store of choice. All RLD $29.99 or less or 4/$100. All NS/DS $29.99 or less as is some Evil Angel. I picked up 3 older RLD titles plus a new release by Python Pictures there for less than $60 the other day. The guy who owns this one knows what he is doing. Out I-70 East from Columbus, North on SR 79.

There's two more Lion's Dens up and down I-71 from Columbus, one in Washington Court House (exit 65) that pretty much blows (though the owners are nice) and one in Marengo (exit 140) that's overpriced but is one of the few Lion's Dens in OH with arcade booths.

There's also a Lion's Den near FINDLAY off I-75 maybe 1.5 hours northwest of Columbus. Probably the biggest selection of all the Lion's Dens. They have an extensive sale section at $19.99 as well, I picked up some Mason titles from Elegant Angel there at that price.

Haven't been to the Lion's Den in CHILLICOTHE yet (50 miles south of Columbus).

DAYTON = Only place I know of is a scummy bookstore downtown I haven't ventured into yet. It may be too sleazy for me, even.

HAMILTON is a medium-sized city between Dayton and Cincinnati and features the worst adult bookstore in the world, probably?? Its called VIP Video and is absolutely atrocious. No DVD, all worthless 4-hour compilation tapes from the 1980's. Avoid like the plague. How this place stays in business is a testament to the power of crappy porn over idiots.
There's another VIP Video in Millville (smaller town closer to Oxford).

MONROE is about 20 miles south of Dayton and features the Hustler Hollywood store. The closest porn to me, so I'm there a lot, though I don't really love it. Everything is at $39.99 except Hustler DVD's, which may be found cheaper. Not really a great place for the raincoater, I have seen dozens of couples and many single females shopping for porn there. What's up with that? :) They don't carry more extreme fare like JM productions, Max Hardcore, Evil Angel, etc. You can maybe find the brand newest RLD and PXP releases there. All of the Wicked/Vivid you can buy!

CINCINNATI simply blows for porn. There is none there. Go away. Maybe you can find a Playboy for sale if you search hard enough in a bad neighborhood.

Video Lease in St.Paul and Minneapolis are worth checking out,they have sales on specially marked stuff(they are building bigger dvd stock gradually)and as I mentioned on the brand new stuff I can't see them charging anymore than the trendy $39.99.In fact it will probably be much less.

There are also a few shops around called Aliens,which have novelities,used cd's,smoking accessories,etc.Unfortunately they moved the St.Paul one twice,there is a grungy one on Univeristy ave.Strictly barebones!There was a better one on west 7th st.but while the store is still there they haven't reopened it for some reason.I preferred that one,it was more user friendly.Anyway,the reason I mention these places is they have the best selection of older titles on vhs,all those stars from the late 70's,though most of it is 80's stuff.If you want those Caballero and Nina DePonca,Kascha,etc.era stuff that would be the place.

There is also a tiny place on Hennepin called Wabasha books,but I don't go there anymore so I don't know how good their deals are,it's a tiny store anyway.
