I notice that Gourmet have released some interesting titles of late, but I've never bought from this company and wonder what their quality control is like. Is anyone familiar with their product? The covers lead me to fear the worst.

The quality is very poor, which is unfortunate considering some of the titles they have released. They are about the worst I have seen yet. That's only based on about 5 titles though.

I purchased their VHS tape a couple of years ago; and it was very good. So I don't know if the transfer process they use is not up to standard - that is using a master instead of another VHS tape. I really like my Gourmet Videos because of the stars and the straight plots they have. Just nice - clean sex with a storyline.

Picture quality is the same as the previous dvd releases by Excalibur (Red Garter, Girls Gone Bad series, Big Bust Babes series, 69 Park Avenue)

if it's the same Gourmet from the 1980s, then it's a mixed bag of what you may get. Really plain box covers just the necessities but sometimes you can strike gold as in a Brittany Stryker title I once got.
