I find a fair share of porn movies that are gross/inappropriate to me.
For example:
Anal specific movies that use the word 'stinker'.
Overtly racist (tends to run along with Asian titles)
"Slant Eye for the Straight Guy" "Me Luv U Long Time"
I'm sure most of the porn buying public couldn't care less what the title is because porn is content driven. Though seeing gross/inappropriate titles just makes me shake my head and not want to buy them. Who really makes up these porn titles, the production company's marketing department? Classy moves by porn companies!

I agree with you, and it's also true of some online content sites. It would be interesting to know if talent was made aware of the title/website when the do the scene, if they would still agree to appear. For instance, there is a website called http://www.stinkfillers.com/ Do they tell these beautiful women beforehand that they've been hired to appear on the illustrious new stinkfillers website? or do the directors wisely keep it on the down-low?

Many titles are, in fact, gross or inappropriate, but from where I'm sitting, "Tinker With My Stinker" is one of the great porn titles of the 21st Century.
Do you have any idea how many porn flicks have been made over the decades? Try coming up with original names for every movie that gets released by just one of the larger studios in a month. I don't envy the task of anyone who has to come up with original porn titles.
9 times out of 10, the title has absolutely nothing to do with the content or is only vaguely related to it. And besides that, porn is the very last place you should be looking for PC. It's porn, for fuck sake!
Controversy sells. It brands the title especially if you're starting out. With such a glut especially on the Internet, you need something to gain attention, negative or positive. When you start a business in porn, it's kind of like opening a deli on top of a mountain screaming for attention (quoted from Duke at FacialAbuse.com). After all, if you want to see Milfs and Teens, there are a ton of these types of titles on the Internet. How do you differentiate yourself?
It's even worse than that. Consider that ALL the major studios essentially have to come up with different names for their competing lines (i.e. blowjob line, anal line, couples line, Asian line, young girls line, IR line, lez line, POV line, etc., etc.).
Exactly. Porn demands you to have a sense of humor. Anyone who makes porno films will tell you these titles aren't meant to be taken seriously. By the way, I think that "Tinker With My Stinker" is one of the funnier film names I've seen in a while.
Not only that.......I have to laugh at people who expect porn to be prim and proper and PC. It's impossible to be a serious porn consumer if you're easily offended or upset. Porn is all about being socially improper. It's supposed to offend the stiff prim and proper types.

Chico maybe right that controversy sells, but titles like,"White Trash Pieces Of Shit" leave me cold and would not buy something similarly titled even if my favorite porn star were performing my favorite fetish. It makes my skin crawl.
There's a post on here from Dana Dearmond where she talks about her experience shooting for the Bangbros network. Basically, she thought she was filiming for their Big Tits Round Asses website when instead they posted her work on their MILF site. Being portrayed as a "MILF" made her upset as she claimed she had no desire to have kids, was concerned about overpopulation in the world, etc. So she wasn't at all pleased about her portrayal and the "bait and switch" behavior of the website producers.
I'm sure there are other examples of this, but I'm equally sure that most performers won't say squat about the naming as they don't want to end up not getting the work in the first place. That's, of course, assuming they even watch their own stuff.....I imagine it gets hard to do so on a follow-up basis given that you can do 100 shoots in 6 months before shoot number one even makes it to release.

What about "Taste Her O Ring." No offense Kylie, I love you and all of your work. I'm just commenting on the title.

"Cumshitters" by Manuel Ferrara. Possibly the worst, most offensive porn title ever.
"Irratable Bowel Syndrome" is pretty bad too. I love anal, but don't want to be reminded of the other function of the asshole.
White Trash Whore and The Violation of… by JM Productions
Cum Dumpsters by Red Light District — good compilation series, but the name is gross
Fossil Fuckers by Extreme Assocaites — really, really old women getting fucked; it won an award for worst movie of the year
Freaks, Whoes and Flows by Jake Steed — this one always made me laugh because, (1) he has misspelled hoes and it's on the box cover, and (2) he would always be rapping
Get Your Shit Off My Black Dick by Combat Zone
Sometimes, it's not so much the title, but more the fonts they use. Like with Manuel Ferrara's "Cumshitters," it looks like dripping shit. Also, there was a series called "Shooters" in which the girls drank the cum out of shot glasses. The box art replaced the double o in Shooters with an illustration of shot glasses so it looked like "Shitters."
There was a female black porn star (can't recall the name) who did a scene and then found out it was used in the series "Black Street Hookers." She was not happy with the title because she did not consider herself a streetwalking hooker.
And I can understand if Dana Dearmond got, well, probably dissapointed, like her age (which is nothing) is equal to having kids or wanting to have kids... Btw I hate kids too.

You are right, I am not a serious consumer of porn. Just a casual one.
I didn't say porn should be prim and proper. I was just stating my personal reflections toward those titles, not speaking on behalf of the 'prim and proper'.
I don't see why you think porn shouldn't be criticized.
i think there is a big difference between striving to succeed in a fickle industry like porn by coming up with 'controversial' titles for your product than by naming it something like 'fat niggers eat shit like the cunt whores they are'.
one of the names that comes up in the most memorable title posts is belladonna's 'my ass is haunted'. that isn't offensive at all (unless you're a ghost) and it's got everybody talking. most people saying 'i haven't see it, but...' so it's got nothing to do with belladonna's name being attached to it.
wit and absurdity captures peoples attention and demands to be bought. vulgarity and crudity is a juvenile way to get attention and, in most instances, divides the audience and appeals to the swine. plus, you repel the burgeoning female audience.
The one thing I don't like about the DVD I linked to is that it puts down overweight women. I don't expect porn to be prim and proper (read my first comment on this thread), but I think that using terms like "fatty" is going too far. There's a lot of overweight people who have been called that name, and to see it used in a porno movie is degrading. I have nothing against overweight people in porn. I don't want them to be referred to by names like that. And read the description of the movie. It is very mean-spirited. Yes, there are limits, and there is absolutely nothing funny about this one.
Extreme Asshole Makeover is also a gross porn title in my opinion.

Maybe some of the title are offenive, but with titles like Cum Shitters, Fossil Fuckers, Gum My Hard Cock, Cum Fart Cocktails, Life in the Fat Lane, Who's Big Hard Black Cock is in My Ass, you know what you are getting. It's just a way to help the consumer out, when they are scanning the hundreds or thousands of box covers on the video store wall. And who cares about the feelings of a fat chick starring in a movie called Waist Watchers. She made the conscious decision to fuck on film and have it distributed when she signed the release. And I would bet that somewhere while getting drilled, the fat chick is saying something like, "Oh yeah baby, cum all over my fat tits," or "yeah baby, fuck my fat ass" Or, "I'm hungry, feed me!"
Porn is a very crowded marketplace, so the first order of business is to get noticed. One of the local smut shacks has started using a clear DVD case with blinking red LED's across the top to display selected new titles in.
I don't know whether the distributor pays extra for that or if it is just the store pushing the product. At any rate, it might be an indication that gross/inappropriate titles have become so commonplace that they no longer elicit any reaction from the average customer at the porn store.
Frankly, the only reason I can see why a company bothers with a gross-out/shock title is because they couldn't come up with a visually appealing box cover photo. After all, an attractive woman on the cover beats a stupid title any day of the week.
So called overweight girls are already very self-conscious so I don't see why they should be insulted even more just so studios can make a few bucks more!
Ramsey, I think that's a matter of perspective. On one hand, being called "fatty" is by no means a kind way to refer to someone who is overweight. On the other hand, they get to star in a porn a movie and get fucked by hung studs, so it could be motivational.
I love that title soooooooo much, I hope Miss Scott came up with it personally! The fact is many titles are being used up now, so studios are having to resort to dafter and more inventive ones'. I personally love inventive porn titles. I don't think they're that offensive, I mean you're watching PORN!! no time to be a prude about the titles me thinks. Rectal Intrusion is another good one from PXP. I particularly like inventive titles to do with anal sex. As someone previously mentioned, Tinker with my stinker is a classic!
What I'm amazed at is that, given all the over-the-top titles out there already, that there still seem to be some limits. I have yet to see something like "Fuck my kike ass." (I'm Jewish and would not be happy to see that one)
Do porn producers tell the performers what movie they are going to be in for the scene they're doing? I doubt it.
I have a feeling some asian women might not want to be in a movie called "Slant Eyed Sluts". Of course, most likely some just don't even care or take the name seriously to begin with. They're getting paid, so it's not like they'd want to complain too much.
This is exactly what I was getting at. I happen to have a problem with demeaning remarks about people's weight, so that's a reason why this movie's title and description bothers me.
i agree that fat people shouldn't be disparaged, but not for the same reason. that kind of tone is common in porn, but the problem, as many people have pointed out, is that most guys who watch BBW films LOVE fat women, and they want to celebrate them, not disparage them.

No, it's okay to call people fat--I wouldn't call anyone fat, it's just that freedome of speech is being attacked in the USA. There are people that want to make using certain labels words "hate speech" and make it a federal felony to do so. It's offensive language, but let's not encourage the government to save us from ourselves.
People watching movies with fat people probably gets turned on by the fat, so I don't see why the girls should be self-conscious about it. And looking at this board most seem to prefer less skinny girls.
What bothers me is that it encourage being overweight, which is a serious health problem.
The issue shouldn't be 'Oh, I'm so fat and ugly and hate myself because everybody thinks I'm so fat and ugly!'. It should be 'I'm gonna kill my heart if I don't stop eating all this shit every day all the time!'. Vanity before all...
My whole poine is that I think that one movie is tasteless. My comments are about the words on the boxcover, not the women in the movie. I think it's good to see women who aren't skinny in porn. But calling them things like "fat fucks" and "scale busters" doesn't exactly celebrate their appearance. It's basically saying that these women are food-loving extremely heavy gobs of flab, but they want to be fucked.
What's really sad is that most people would consider women like Friday and Brandy Talore to be fat, and both of them are far from that. Unfortunately we live in a world where Paris Hilton is a sex symbol. But that's for another thread.
What I'm amazed at is that, given all the over-the-top titles out there already, that there still seem to be some limits. I have yet to see something like "Fuck my kike ass." (I'm Jewish and would not be happy to see that one)
It is true that we have the notion that "everything goes in porn", but there is a big difference between race and nationality. Race falls under the religion categories and nationality falls under the ethnic background. Putting the word "Kike" is an anti-semitic which the Germans created during WWII. Jews will take great offence to that and probably the Anti-Defamation Agency will go after that company.
When our founders wrote the 1st Amendment and gave us freedom of speech, they didn't ment that we can use the "N" word or the "K" word.
What really bugging me is that there is a company out there that doing Black/Black titles and it runs by non blacks. All their titles are made to insult the Black talents. Instead of putting the Black talent on a pedestal, they putting them down. Using only big girls, and insulting them. Porn need to be Erotic, not insulting.
"My comments are about the words on the boxcover, not the women in the movie."
Boxcovers ALWAYS aim to degrade women in various ways it seems. As many nasty words and exclamation marks as possible. Even the least misogynic gonzo has the same shit on the cover... I think it's meant to appeal to male sexual aggression so that when some man is standing there holding it, his dick will want to see that 'HUGE ANAL GAPES!' or 'FAT BITCHES DESTROYED!!!'.
Weight is such a sensitive issue that I think it's almost impossible to come up with a name that clearly states what the movie is about but without being offensive.

Race falls under religion?
Being Jewish, as you should know, has nothing to do with biology, genetics or geography. Being Jewish is a religion, there is no such thing as the Jewish Race. It is a is a religion. How else would you explain Sammy Davis Jr.?
Regarding those founding fathers, I do agree with the 1st amendment part of your post, but we should all understand that they are the ones that tolerated slavery and are responsible for much of the related turmoil that has followed us to the present day.
AS for me I do agree that for us, porn should be erotic. And I can not for the life see anything erotic in a title that has cumshiters in it, or other some such title that have already been listed in this thread.
I do think that porn actually objectifies everything, the sex, the characters, the performers and as I consider it, often the fans. We all at some point become jaded.
In Israel we only taught that Jewish is a race and all the Rabbis refered as the Jewish Race. Right or wrong, I don't know, but I know that this is what they taught us in Bible classes. Beside the point is that if some idiot will put the word "Kike" on a box covers, The Rabbi community will be on his ass so fast, that he would'nt even know were it came from. A good example is Tight Fit with the Kosher mark.
