If course the Primetime story will be a hack job on the Industry. Remember who owns ABC? Disney and how well is Disney's doing lately under Mike "Goofy" Eisner? Not that great! The mainstream movies and entertainment that is Disney are costing more and more and the return is becoming less and less. They see the Industry as a threat to on going need for cash flow just to survive. The adult industry is returning good profits with little overhead. Something that Disney and the other mainstream studios would love to do. They are all fighting for a piece of the entertainment dollar, also known as "disposable income". They base their entire future, ie-stock price on it. There is no such thing in the media as Journalistic Objectivity...not since the large corporate mergers that have taken place. The “dog wages the tail” meaning Diane Sawyer is just a mouthpiece for Disney, the same as Bill O Relliy is for Rupert Murdoch at Fox. It's all about BUCKS. In a few years mainstream cooperate, (S&P 500 which already has a presents in the Industry), will completely take over, as it did with indy film distribution (Mirimax is Disney). This interview and other mainstream media interest in the Industry (LA Times) of late is just a prelude to the finial takeover. Where today’s prevailing powers that reign over the Industry are framed as “corrupt and exploitive” and need to be reigned in by the government, (George Enron Bush). Or the media’s cry will be” don’t buy porn now from THESE guys this what you’ll support” Just wait until they take over. It’ll have all the same warts and waste as any other Fortune 500 company but then it will be only controlled by a very small few and cost a lot more. If Diane Sawyer wanted to do some real in-depth and humane reporting she could do an insight full piece into the slave labor in China and the Far East where they make cute and cuddly Disney plush toys or Disney’s labor relations in the US which have been called “Moushwitz”. But then again she is too old to find a new job!
