Perhaps, the fact that it was decided to move the thread here speaks about how common a practice in real life that shaving pubes has become? Somehow I doubt it. My wife shaves her pubes, and we know no other woman friend who does. Maybe Spunky was talking about it in porn movies, but just wasn't clear enough.

Now, I can't stand hair down there, it's much more sensitive, hygenic, etc. At first I was worried about cuts, but so far this hasn't happened. It helps that I have a built-in bench seat in my shower, and I positioned a large mirror just right. I suppose the purpose of pubic hair evolved as some sort of genital protection, before we invented clothing, so chances are it will disappear in time. And someone with more education in biology might be able to tell us. But I was thinking more along the lines of scent. I am one of these guys that is hung-up on olfaction, and I think it is one of the senses that has suffered the most due to the gloss of civilization. I swear I can smell when my wife is ovulating, just by being around her. And I especially love the overwhelming that all my senses receive, especially smell, when I perform cunnilingus on her. I can't help but imagine if you go back to "caveman" days, that the pubes served a woman by aiding the spreading of her scent, and letting the men know when she was breedable.
