I hadn't heard that but it's not surprising. I had kind of figured that she might be gone considering that her page at LaDirectModels.com has been gone for a while now.

However, Haley has been reported as being retired several times in her career. At some point, her boyfriend found out and made her retire. Then she came back and just would not do DP anymore, at her boyfriend's request. I would not be surprised if she is one of those girls that leaves because of the HIV scare and comes back down the road after the initial shock and fear has subsided.

Either way, if you look at it she has all ready done an incredible amount of work for a relatively modest time in the business. We'll always have her Jonni Darkko and Skeeter Kerkove and Chico Wang scenes to remember.

Yeah. I know. It kind of reminds me of "Chasing Amy", where Holden (Ben Affleck) can't get over the fact that Alyssa (Joey Lauren Adams) once had sex with two guys at the same time. He is not so disturbed that she had sex with a male that was not him. It is the fact that it was two guys.

Ah, yes. The fragile male ego.

Back to Haley, the story that was reported here was that Haley has had a serious boyfriend for a while now. He apparently had no clue that she was doing porn until she either told him or he somehow found out. Once he found out, she retired. That would be a big shock for a guy to take. Then, apparently, she came out of her extremely brief retirement and returned to performing, but her boyfriend was not comfortable with her performing with more than one guy at a time.

How much of this is verified fact? I have no clue. I read all of it here at ADT from posts from people inside the biz, such as Skeeter Kerkove.

Wait a tic...

Haley isn't retired. She signed for Madness Pictures at the recent AdultCon in May. Here's the press release about it posted at www.hardcoregossip.com:

"Madness Pictures Pleased With Strong Showing at Adultcon

VAN NUYS, Calif. - Rising adult star Haley met hundreds of her fans at the Madness Pictures booth on Sunday, May 16 at Adultcon 6.

Fans of the 22-year-old lined up, and at times mobbed, the Madness Pictures booth as Haley posed for pictures, signed DVDs and gave free shirts to her admirers. Haley, who is featured in Madness Pictures' Ass Driven and Legal Tender, also pulled the name of an Adultcon attendee who will spend the day on the set of one of Madness Pictures' productions.

Haley said she was overwhelmed with her fan turnout and added, "I want to thank Madness Pictures and Adultcon for this opportunity. It was great and I love to see my fans."

Newcomer Veronica Lynn, who Haley is representing as an agent, also appeared at the Madness Pictures booth. Like Haley, Lynn was pleasantly surprised at the response she was given at Adultcon.

"We're very pleased with the turnout we had," said company owner Andre Madness. "It exceeded our expectations. We're happy that our fans could meet Haley, Veronica and the rest of the Madness gang and that we could give back to them."

Of course, I know when a girl appears at a convention it does not necessarily mean that she is an active performer. However, I am inclined to believe that the news of her "retiring" due to the HIV scare is either mere rumor or is true but no longer applicable as she has changed her mind. It's just the timing of the matter, her appearing and signing for lots of fans at a convention held over a month after the HIV scare began.
