I get as good or better technical advice here as anywhere, so I thought I'd try here again.
I'm interested in some sort of hand-held scanner. I saw some pen scanners (note-takers)--does anyone have any experience with these?
What I'm looking for is something where I can walk around and then read a line or two if information (like a stock number) off of a card. It needs to be portable because I have to take it to various areas in a building.
The idea is that I'd make these scans, and then download them onto my computer when I get back.
I was looking at business card scanners, but they all seem to need to be tethered to a laptop. I don't want to lug around a laptop if I can avoid it.
