I bought a computer couple of months ago and I mentioned in another thread that I was having trouble getting the hard drive bays on the front of the computer to work. I've decided that something has to be done about the jumper, as I can think of no other thing. This jumper is pressed very far down and I need to know if there is a special tool i will need to get it out. I've tried with my fingers but no go.

Tweezers. I've also bent a small hook on the end of a paperclip, slid it down below the jumper, twist the hook below it and lift it out.

You do have to set the jumpers, as to which is the master and which is the slave drive. It should be marked next to the jumpers.

I've had good success with cable select. Unless he wants to use it for his primary drive.

Do you feel the drive spinning? Is the drive known to be good?
What exactly are you trying to do?

OK Neech. It would really help if I could see what the drive bay looks like. Can you find any pictures of the bay online somewhere? The picture you linked to in the old thread only showed the back of an SATA hard drive. I have never seen anything like a removable hard drive tray but if I could see it, I might be able to tell you something more helpful.
