As an aspiring male talent, I know that being represented by a legit agent is the biggest gatekeeping to overcome. I hit up those who usually represent male talents (e.g. Chad White, Logan Pierce, Bambino, Manuel Ferrera, Isiah Maxwell, etc. etc.), and I haven't heard back from any except LA Direct, with an "interview" that didn't go anywhere.
So all the porn stars I've worked with for my own C4S site said, to get into porn as male talent: 1) get hard and stay hard, and 2) pop on command. Over the months, I've got those down; no anxiety whatsoever, whether it's shooting for my own C4S site or some other female talents' C4S sites.
I even compiled a 1-min reel of all the scenes I've done so far (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uASkRwKYlQw), and none have bitten, not ATMLA, not OC Modelling, not 101. What am I doing wrong!?

Alvin is back.... are you going to make your own scene again? you got decent feedback on that other one
Man, you got to listen....... it is nearly impossible to get in on your own...... even if you got everything "required"... nobody wants to take a chance on losing 1000+dollars for a spoiled shoot when 99% of "new and interested guys" will fail to stay hard ..... even guys who send in rock hard videos or keep it hard in some audition room, end up losing it in the heat of a busy shoot with a bitchy girl and 20 stops and starts.
you are also asian... porn valley is racially segregated in a way and they just don't hire asian dudes.......
are you bisexual at all? You could give a go at gay or TS porn as an entry point... they are more likely to take chances on new guys and often it pays more anyways. There is a pretty good market for asian in gay porn as far as I know.
I still think making your own product is a far better way to go. Either that or find a super sexy girl who will demand to only work with you. Many guys got in that way.

Keni Styles got work before the bottom fell out of the porn industry so being Asian-American isn't an insurmontable obstacle. Making your own stuff until others see you are a reliable performer does seem the best track. If Ed Powers and Rodney Moore could succeed and be acepted by the industry no reason you can't.

I made three more scenes since then and have been earning decent residuals on them. You're never "legit" though till you're represented and shooting for the big studios. As for gay/TS work, well that's just settling, and even if that worked that's not what I really want, moreover unhelpful in transitioning me into straight work anyway.
As for the "find a sexy girl and demand to only work with me" route, it's close to impossible for me now... not even if I paid.
Actually, if money can help me get noticed, I'll make the investment. I just don't know how besides putting my own stuff out there and hope to get noticed. A non-licensed agency in Florida offered to sign me if I paid $350 for the privilege to be listed on their site and a promise to show me around as their new talent in Cammingcon held in FL. Seemed like a good idea at first, but a couple of other agents and male talents told me it's a waste of money equivalent to a scam.

Sounds like a scam to me. Did you go to Phoenix Forum last weekend? There would have been a lot of producers there, a good place to network.

Unless I missed something, why didn't you promote those scenes here. I told you I would have bought one if you did any with anal; I am sure you could have sold a few here and there on this place.
That $350 is most certainly a scam. If you want to part with $350, ship it to me. At least I will buy something nice with it :)

is it really necessary today to have a agent? I'm not a performer but it seems to me that a lot of things happen on twitter. That means girls looking for performers, directors looking for performers, sites looking for performers all with their twitter profile. And one can also trade scenes with others.

If you want to start shooting for the major companies/directors, then yes, you have to have an agent. There has to be someone that they can hold accountable if you don't do your job, especially as a new performer. Once you've gotten to know people, then you can go without an agent because you've built up a trust, but producers aren't going to hire someone they've never worked with before without having someone trustworthy that can vouch for that person.

If you do some research, there is no need to lose an erection. I have a suppository that will make me rock hard is one minute and keep me hard for hours. It's never failed me once for the last 10 years. It makes pills look like candy.

The producers of US "straight" porn don't call guys too much if they do pegging or TS stuff.... just part of the hypocrisy of porn (as a lot of the male performers are apparently bisexual in their personal lives.)
LIke I said, if you are willing to do bi, ts, gay, or even fem dom stuff as your career, you can get bookings pretty quickly. You seem to not want that path so there it is.
Again, if you are dedicated to your own content only, do what you want. If you still have this misguided hope that you will be filming "Anal Asians #5" Starring London Keyes for Evil Angel, you better hold off on the pegging stuff.

But he does like to keep asking for advice that he doesn't want. It may lead nowhere but at least that makes it entertaining.

Haha, yeah. Well, he doesn't seem to like anal sex because he would make a bit more on his own content if he did one. Not sure what his endgame is here, it certainly is not making big money. Being a part time porn mope at 300 bucks a scene begging for worki in straight porn is not the best path . He has talent to produce scenes, yet he just doesn't want to go down that path. A very puzzling case here.

Producing scenes is a.) hard work, and more importantly, b.) is your money on the line. Being a porn mope doesn't pay that well, but the risk involved is much lower. And even then, getting onto other sites is a decent way of people finding out who you are so that they might actually look for the scenes you want to produce. I understand where he's coming from, I just know that what he's trying to do not only is going to be hard, it's going to require some luck as well.

I'm not too familiar with your overall take on things Canadian_Cindy, (the only post I recall from you was your celebrating the visual evidence that a model must have had ample double anal experience long before turning 18, which says a lot), but are you one of these people that would criticize female models for doing/not doing IR/anal/whatever you might be into? Because I don't see any difference in the "advice" you are disseminating here. It amounts to "change who you are or GTFO."
To Alvin: While I feel the faux-sanctimonious advice offered up in this thread is unfortunate, it is reflective of the reality of an overtly racist industry. You are at a disadvantage because you are Asian, and it's a hard sell to get established content producers to overcome their own prejudice, let alone acknowledge it. This is an industry that refuses to cast an Asian guy in a Walking Dead parody. Even though producing your content is a hard path, I'd encourage you to find a way. You may not have the finances produce enough content to start your own site (I don't think the pay-per-scene model will work in the long run) but perhaps you can find investors. Are there crowdfunding platforms open to porn content? These are things I don't know that you may need to find out yourself.
You'd probably need to find some alternative niche/genre for your site other than "AMWF". Where IR (which in the porn industry... just a reminder of the kinds of attitudes you are dealing with, means a scene with a black person in it. A scene with two black people can be considered more IR than a scene with a white and Asian person) has been successful because white men have an interest in seeing it, I doubt there is that much interest among among white males when it comes to Asian male interracial. The Next Door Amateur/Amateur Creampie site had an Asian guy but the hook was creampies (of course he never showed his face so you could hardly tell it was Asian-IR). I don't think you need to hide your face... there just needs to be some other niche/genre hook... creampies, amateurs. teens, MILFs, etc. The fact that you're Asian would have to be a sub-genre thing.
If you went all out to try to get representation in the American industry and get hired by the established content producers, the best you can hope for is an occasional Long Duk Dong role or maybe next time they do a Walking Dead parody they'll actually be willing to cast an Asian guy. But the way the industry is that's the best case scenario. That is until someone out there can prove that there can be a market for porn with an Asian male. You've already started down the path, it might as well be you. If you were white or black finding representation might be a door that can be opened just by knocking long enough, but you may need to find another, harder way in.

Ripping me Mr Robin Wood is rather odd. I am not your enemy or anyone else's. if you think someone can do a comfortable double anal in their first try, awesome.... good for you. It is a fair and reasonable viewpoint to see the scene, how comfortable of a fit it was, and the bit of gaping, to feel she had done anal sex and double anal before that particular scene was filmed. You are welcome to disagree. I am not sure why this is an issue for you or why you would bring it up in this thread. You can probably go into the May Thai thread itself and explain to us how someone can take two large dicks in her ass for the first time without difficulty and be gaping at age 18 without having had a lot of anal sex already. (I am assuming you disagree with me that she has had anal and double anal before that scene).
As for this thread. The reason I give Alvin a bit of a hard time is because he keeps going on asking the same advice (this is not the only thread from him), yet won't take anyone's advice or the realities of getting into porn. It is not any more complicated than that. He seems like a nice fellow and I have given him several compliments in the other thread and offered suggestions.
If he is asking for advice, why is it a big deal to give it? Because you don't agree with it? If the only advice that matters is what Alvin already believes (which seems to be where this has headed), then advice is not needed in the first place.

I'm not familiar with his other threads... I may have misunderstood why you were giving Alvin a hard time. If it's because he's not getting into gay, TS or anal porn, I mean, not everyone is into that, and for the record I have no problem with people who are. But that's why we should have no problem with it... because people are into different things and usually it's not a choice. Apologies if that's not the reason you are giving him a hard time. Certainly we agree he should produce his own scenes.
As far as the May Thai thing goes, I haven't seen the scene and don't have an issue with your observation, I just find the observation sad and not something to celebrate but I'll drop it.
Alvin, I would suggest trying to get together some financiers who would be interested in producing the type of porn you would like to make. You don't want to be some Brazzer director's Long Duk Dong and that's your best case scenario if you want to be hired by established content producers for one scene every year. Or maybe you do. Personally I think the scenes you've already made are better than what you'd be making if you were hired by established content producers. I'd love to be wrong. For me, the man in a BG scene is nothing more than a proxy (which is why I don't dig any scene with more than one guy) but as a person who is a shade of the rainbow that doesn't fit in the porn world, I'm all for seeing more content with more diverse proxies.

The porn industry is very non-racist. It's insulting to classify it as anything else. You can find movies with any and all combinations of both male and female whites, blacks, asians, and hispanics. Are an equal number of movies made with each combination? No. Producers invest much more money in a few specific combinations. But it's not because they're racist. It's because they're in business, and they're going to make what people will buy. If movies with asian males sold well, every studio would be making them as fast as they could. If you must play the racist card, point your accusations at porn customers. They're the ones who have shown -- with their money -- that they have specific preferences.

There's a race card, and there's a "race card" card, which is what ingrate shitstains use to deny that racism exists. Which would be aptly applied to anyone denying the existence of racism in the porn industry. Sure there's some racism among the consumers but the industry caters exclusively to that demographic, for which they are culpable. Look, this is obvious and I don't have the surgical skills required to remove anyone's head from so far up their ass they can't see it, so carry on...

1. Why didn't your interview go anyway? Was it because the agent said, "Okay, drop your pants and get hard by jerking off for me right now?" And then you're like, "You mean right now, right now, in front of all you people? " or something along those lines. If not that, what then?
2. Get a smoking hot girlfriend that wants to do porn and wants to only work with you. Then have her insist to her agent that they have to rep you also.

Lets derail Alvin for a bit because he seems to be MIA for a few days.... I am fascinated to hear your response to my questions......
What is sad about an 18 year old having double anal, versus say a 20 year old.... is it simply you think sexual exploration should not happen until a certain age or that they should not do porn?
As a porn fan, do you feel 18 is the wrong age to allow entry into porn? What age would you prefer?
If you feel it is sad to have double anal on camera at 18, do you feel it is cool to do porn at 18 as long as the sex act is more moderate (say just vaginal or G/G scenes)?
Or, is this another angle.. such as "I don't like teenagers having anal and group sex at 15 or 16 or 17"......
You are not the first person on the forum to mention this, so I am curious to the answers. For me, most people are having sex in their early to mid teens and with the advent of easy access to gonzo porn on the internet, our current crop of teenagers are seeing things (and thus wanting to try them) that my generation didn't see until we were in our mid to late 20s. For example, I didn't even think of double anal until I saw it in the late 90s (which was getting into my upper 20's). If I had of seen a 3 on 1 Legal Porno scene when I was 16 I may very well have experimented a lot sooner. Easy access to porn does tend to get the sexual revolution going in someone's life and I don't think that is sad.... it does make things happen "earlier in life" if the person chooses to do so.

I think 18 is a very tough age to join the porn industry as a guy. Porn is generally not all the nice, all-the-time, when it comes to male newcomers. I personally feel male newcomers are generally treated like crap, although a small percentage seem to join with few issues. Unless you have some kind of real niche, you'll probably struggle to get the kind of work you really want. I feel male talent needs to be strong mentally and yet very patient. I just feel he has a wide-eyed view of porn that doesn't really exist for newcomers. I think the reason we still don't see a lot of new guys in porn is still because it's a damn tough job, and a job is what it is.

1. First, let me say thanks for taking your time to give your input. I appreciate it. Let me also share my motivation for wanting to get represented instead of being a niche player: legitimacy. Shooting with the big studios -- being paid for use of your penis -- is the pinnacle of achievement in porn for a male talent. Shooting your own stuff, not so much -- that's barely one step above prostitution.
In the same way that you're never a legit singer no matter how many million views you have on YouTube as a cover artist (as you're only "legit" once you hit the Billboard Top 40), or that you're never a legit pro-wrestler no matter how many regional promotions you wrestle for (as you're only "legit" once you're wrestling with the WWE, on the main roster), or that you're never a legit politician no matter what positions you hold (as you're only "legit" when you get elected for office), you're only a legit porn star when people hire you. Period.
So I just want to be "in the club." To be known as a male talent, not male talent-slash-producer. To be invited to the AVNs. Too much to ask for apparently. The money is not an issue to me.
2. I agree that "AMWF" isn't a profitable genre. My buyers are mostly from Asia itself. But conventional wisdom also says that the male talent is simply a prop, and has a specifically technical job, which means that factors such as race should matter much less for male talents, and factors such as talent, a big dick, stamina, staying hard, etc., matter much more. If brown dudes like Marco Banderas, Manuel Ferrera, Bambino, etc., can get regular work, why not an Asian?
3. The reason that I appear stubborn in still wanting to try to become "legit" is that there has been one Asian out there: Keni Styles. It wasn't completely insurmountable. There's precedent already. If Jeremy Lin can play ball and Ed Lee can be elected mayor of San Francisco, America really isn't that racist. Jeremy Long, a relatively-new Asian male talent, shot for Mile High Media, Kink.com, among others. It's quite doable. Sure, being Asian isn't an advantage; it's probably a handicap, just like how being BBW or TS or MILF is a handicap to a female talent. But I refuse to believe that it's a death sentence. A death sentence would be like a complete inability to get hard in front of a crowd (even then, you can still play "limp dick" cucks).
4. The relative absence of Asians is also probably due to the fact that Asians are simply too small a minority to make an impact on the industry. We're just too busy trying to get into Ivy League universities and filling up engineer roles in Silicon Valley. That's just the way it is. It's not like there's a deluge of Asian male talents waiting to break into the porn industry, and the industry is actively trying to stop us from succeeding. I seriously doubt that.
5. Why would I give up trying to get mainstream anyway? What does it cost me? Nothing more than I'm already currently doing.
So I guess I don't take advice well, or that I prefer to see the world as what I want it to be instead of what it actually is. But I'll keep trying. I'll also keep making new scenes and continually learn from my scenes.

Well Alvin I wish you luck. I would like to see you succeed. I'm not much concerned about male talent in a scene as I mostly view them as a proxy and would like to see a more diverse range of male proxies in porn.

Actually, I've been signed by a talent agency recently. Only Asian guy in a sea of white guys: http://thevipconnect.com/maletalent-talent.php.
So now what can I do to increase the chances of getting bookings?
They say they're "rarely wrong" about talents, but is there a way I can help things, even while represented?

Congrats on your signing. Are you still gonna produce your own content? I checked out some of them and kept up, but nothing really got me hooked (trailer-wise) until the Nyomi scene, which I decided to purchase. I'll just be honest and say that there was nothing "new" on your site. You mentioned you filmed some "really good" scenes or had "great ideas" in the other thread, so, i'll keep checking out your site. But being critical, simply being AWHF is limiting yourself, as mentioned by a previous comment.
Being from a group that is unrepresented in porn (male and female wise), I can see the fact that there is a huge market for someone who looks like me. However, the whole problem is that there are still stereotypes that Asians like us have to face in the industry. Other than Keni Styles, the only other Asian performer who has had any sort of good work in mainstream porn is a guy named Jeremy Long, but he works sporadically afaik. However, in my opinion, simply being Asian isn't really going to open doors for you. You need to network you need to be proactive. Heck, I can fill a niche in the industry as well, if it weren't for the fact that I am average sized and probably don't have anything to offer to the mainstream audience. Get what I mean? To be booked you need connections. Attend conventions, book popular girls, get views on your site (try switching to clips4sale maybe?). All of these are probably expensive, but they say you have to spend money to make money....If simply being Asian was all that it took, then there would be a bunch of Asian guys there. That's how it looks like to me.

^^ With posts like that, who can fault him for not listening to your "advice"? Get over yourself, you're not the fount of wisdom you seem convinced that you are. (And that goes for plenty more threads than just this one.) Your posts here are no better than those of the jerks who gripe and whine in female performer threads.

As for Alvin, yeah I took a shot at him . Many people put a sincere effort over at least two threads trying to give him advice and he ignored all of it. So when he comes here again asking for advice, when we know he will ignore it, it smells disingenuous. That is my opinion.
