I just saw my first HD-DVD porn. Jacks Teen America 3. It is a video I would never have bought if it weren't on HD-DVD. I wanted to see how good porn can look in HD. I'm pleased to say that it definately greatly added to the experience. The video was so clear I felt more as if I were in the room. Seeing the beautiful Lauren Phenoex so close and in such clarity was breathtaking. I really can't wait to see more HD-DVD releases but I hope there are some good hardcore titles to come. Quaserman mentioned ZT was interested. I hope they release some good anal titles in HD.
HD is the future now like DVD was the future over a decade ago.
We have some coming in the fall. I have become a total HD DVD fan! Once you see an HD DVD porn on an HD TV ... you become converted for life =)

I agree. I can see myself not wanting to see my older stuff anymore. It's like the difference from VHS and DVD. Once I got DVDs, I didn't bother with my VHS anymore.
I stay away from Digital Playground movies but I wonder if they're gonna release Leg Sex on HD-DVD. Simply because I want to see how girls feet look like on HD-DVD :-)
re-HD movies most of my releases from here on in will have the HD option , and as far as feet is concerned in HD unless they are pedi'd the day before they can look pretty nasty especially if they are barefoot junkies (hey good title) or dancers you will understand why I stay away from close-ups! even when I request a pedi the day before the talent will at times show up with their feet unprepared for shooting purposes. But yes it will be interesting especially with the different lighting techniques I will be using.

I've never seen your stuff. Will you have any strictly anal/ATM movies coming out in HD?
Not that I have planned so! Im not known for anal/atm nor do I watch it! but on the other hand im in negotiations with a known director for anal/atm who might come aboard to shoot for me and which Ill keep you posted on that one!

If you have an anal/ATM line shot in HD and released in HD-DVD, I'll buy every edition.
Keep an eye on Digital Playground's Handheld Pictures titles by Robby D. These are as hard as you can get but they still maintain the production values you expect from DP. His lines include Control, Ass Addiction, CockAsian & Hard Candy so far... with more in the pipes. Robby D has been shooting on HD for 3 + years and has the format mastered.... You won't be disappointed.
Same here. I have a HD-DVD player with a 57" Toshiba, so I am definitely looking forward to see the real hardcore stuff in Hi-Def..Some of the stuff from Evil, RLD, PXP and Elegent in HD would probably melt my screen. I hope.
I'm no videographer but so far i hate the shot-in-HD footage. DP is the only company that can handle it from what i've seen. The colours/brightness/contrasting just seems wrong somehow and so far i've not seen any advantage of widescreen in porn. Whatever.. I just hope they get they're act together. Maybe go on a course or read a manual or something.

It needs to be a 1080p transfer for the leap in image quality to be really evident. The Camp Cuddly Pines Powertool Massacre was not 1080p but Curse Eternal is and the result is an amazing looking disc.
Platinum Blue started releasing titles in true HD with Lust in Time and is now re-releasing the catalog a little at a time in Blu Ray and HDDVD.
Woodman Entertainment plans Xcalibur Episodes 1 through 3 in HDDVD. And DP is definitely moving into HDVD full force, as Adella stated.
Most studios are already shooting in HD, but a lot of the releases aren't coming out in HDDVD as a rule. The majority of studios are waiting to see which format will end up winning, Blu Ray or HDDVD. Problem is that the porn buyers are waiting to see which the porn companies will pick before they make the final choice to buy. It's a vicious cycle.
