The (official) attitudes towards sex and porn here in the UK is fucked up. It's as confused as its policies towards alcohol and drugs.
They acknowledge the demand, but can't quite let go of the need to stupidly censor, as it seems ingrained in the psyche of those who put themselves in the position to do so. Ony relatively recently, mainstream films shown after the watershed were allowed to be aired with swearing intact (opposed to ludicrous dubs such as: "Forget you" etc).
The current censoring stupidity will probably relent eventually, after everything's moved on further and it becomes even less relevant.
