Can't recall ever hearing about a performer being hurt, killed, or dying of natural causes while shooting a scene. It has to have happened. Tons of porn murders, suicides, OD's, car crashes, etc....but never heard of an on-set incident. Could porn be OSHA's favorite industry?

Injuries are common on set..... mostly minor ones though (cuts , scrapes, bruises, etc) with a few hospital trips here and there. (anal tearing for example)...... I dont think anyone has died in the act of performing a sex scene.
Very likely there have been mishaps from high heels. In that position where the guy lifts up the girl... likely some guy suffered back injury or some girl has been dropped. Edited by - ninja1 on 12/23/2015 10:12:58 PM

Sure, they are an occupational injury . Some of them are permanent (herpes and genital warts which everyone gets), some can be cured as we know. I would call them injuries in that sense but I don't think that is what the OP was looking for.

This is a morbid topic, but I also recall that story of the guy who hacked someone to death with a machete on a porn set a while back. No porn was being shot at that exact moment, but the machete was a prop for the porn. So I guess it counts for this thread. Stephen Hill was the guy's name. He killed himself when the cops tried to bring him in.
^ Supposedly it was initially just a very dull piece of metal, but Mr. Hill had sharpened it without anyone's knowledge. At least that's the story that was told to the police.
Yeah and it's a crying shame because I'm distraught when girls take them off during sex. Someone needs to invent 'dummy' shoes that look convincing but which have heels made of foam rubber or something.
^Yes I also prefer they leave the shoes on at all times. This is why I prefer the "seasoned" pornstars who have been around long enough to know the importance of such details. For example Sara Jay, Ava Devine, Lisa Ann, have no problem (or are very good actors) wearing high heels throughout the entire scenes, in all positions. But sometimes it is the director or male performer who decides to remove the shoes.
Vince Vouyer has shot some really painful ass fucking scenes where a few chicks started to bleed and they said no more but he told the guy in the scene to keep going.

This, if true, is shocking! Torn rectal tissue -- i.e. bleeding -- with anal sex and the exposure to semen is just about the number one risk factor for HIV possible (outside of sharing needles with an infected IV drug user).
