I´m just a little bit concerned as I ordered several DVDs at the end of november/beginning of december last year (which are already paid also). First of all they told me some titles are out of stock and delivery will be shortly. But now they are not even responding to my email inquiries since 2 weeks. That´s a little bit distressing and did cause my concerns. Is there anybody here in the forum who made bad experiences with 'Erodvd.nl' in the last time?
Thank you very much for your thought, but my email-adress is still the same and I wrote several times and I´m still waiting for a couple of weeks for my discs. I hope Aline is on vacation or anything like that. In the past I also never had problems with Erodvd.nl. But this now makes me wonder.
Would be nice if they had a state of the art website, a search facility aint exactly rocket science. If we could set up accounts and check order status online that would be really helpful.
Hi lordasmus I ordered title week before xmas & still don;t have it , Aline did reply however & is "looking in to it " . 1st time i have had a problem , or slow deivery . usually 3 days max , but i guess you can add 3 to that but i would have expected it by now .
thank you very much for your feedback. As already said: My first order was on november, 28th, the second on december, 8th. The third & biggest order (4 discs) was on december, 14th. I paid for all orders on the same day and I´m still waiting for the discs. I´m annoyed because they don´t even answer to my emails.. Let´s see how it will turn out.
I have used them several times in the past and service levels have varied tremendously from the stunningly excellent to pretty much unacceptable.
Shame really as the bad times really spoil the good - I'd approximate the split approx 55/45 or 60/40 - sadly in favour of the poor :-(.
I also agree that I really am non too keen on the website.
The upsides of course are good prices, wide range of stock and stock of the more exotic - though of course that can bring interest from customs - I have had one seizure.
I used them several times without any problems. Last time however (a couple of weeks ago) I didn't receive anything. So I mailed Aline, she said she was looking into it. After 3 days I received the stuff. Maybe they're really busy, I always get my stuff within 2 to 3 days, although not this time. Just mail her again. Good luck Lordasmus...
It seems my problem with the outstanding orders has been solved now! I wrote another email to Aline yesterday and she responded directly. She assured me, that all packages has been sent in december and was very astonished that I haven´t received anything yet. Today she sent me another mail and promised me to clear this up, asked if I want the money back or another sending and I agreed so send them out again with registered mail. And - you won´t believe it: This evening the first sending with poststamp 19th of december was in my mailbox. So I think I don´t have any reason to worry further and also have no more complaints agains erodvd.nl. Aline was very kind & helpful. Sorry for having erodvd.nl in a wrong suspicion.
I've made my first order with erodvd.nl last week. Is it usual that you didn't hear anything from them after getting a order confirmation email? Is there no email when the DVDs are shipped? I've send 2 mails to Aline, but I've got no response?!
They typically ship after charging of credit card. If they already charge your card it's mean that your order complete and will shipped in same day. If card not charged, they still process your order.
Despite supposedly giving it up, you still need Java to use the Erodvd.nl site, and I also recommend using Internet Explorer 6 to view the site, as I nearly always find problems with Firefox (this being no ill reflection on the latter). I do wish they'd bring this site up to date in a technical sense.

I used to have problems with their site when I was still using my Macs with OS 9, since I switched to OS X, no problem. So if you have a Mac you must have OS 10 for their website to work the latest Mac OS 9 flavoured version of Java is not enough.
Hi Joey, to add to the confusion, I'm using the same version of Firefox but on Windows XP Home and as soon as I go into any of the studio listings there's a huge spike in CPU usage and Firefox freezes. Last time I visited the site, I found it crashed IE 6 as well. So I won't be going back.
It would be great if they considered making the site more accessible and using a sensible sever side solution for functionality - all of the frames, Flash and Java could be readily replaced using methods that will enable the broadest possible audience to easily access the site. Maybe they're happy with things the way they are, but they're definitely losing customers this way.
Yep I often found it would freeze my system using various different browsers and needing me to reboot my set - not fecking funny. SO I rarely now visit their site.
Good way to loose business eh - make your site crash peoples computers
Has something happened to Erodvd? They have not replied to my last 2 emails. Is Aline on holiday or something? They still owe me a Rude Britannia dvd I ordered and was charged for 3 months ago. After over a month of waiting I emailed them and was told they could not get the title I wanted so I gave them an alternative title to send to me. Now over a month later still nothing and they will not reply to my emails. :(

What's up exactly? Ordered something and nothing shown up so far? Or is it just a query you have?
A little patience helps, sometimes they have out of stock items and it takes a bit longer. Haven't had trouble discussing things by E-mail in the past though...
I tried sending them an e-mail asking them to cancel an order I'd made earlier that day but the messages are failing to get through. (Reason : Over quota) Looks like they will just go ahead with the order as I can't cancel it.
I live in Belgium. I have been surfing on this website for a while but never registered to post in the forum until today. I am having the weirdest problem with erodvd.
I have ordered from them for the first time a little over 2 weeks ago. I didn't get anything and decided to write to the customer service.
Aline is very kind and quick to answer mails. She told me that my package had been shipped but that it was returned to them. After a check, the address on the package was correct.
I have been ordering on various websites for over 7 years now and never had such a problem. I don't understand. Why would the post return a package with the correct address on it ? Are they lying at erodvd ?
Did it ever happen to anyone else ? Especially Belgians ?
We experience the same problems in various countries. A package comes back as being undeliverable even though the customer confirms an address is complete and valid. And actually a reshipment to the same address usually arrives fine then.
It looks like there are indeed some postmen out there that are either blind or stupid.
Well, I finally got my package this tuesday ! I don't know if it's the courrier at TNT that aren't reliable or if erodvd made a mistake and they tried to cover it up ?
I guess that I'll be able to better judge erodvd after completion of a second order.

I have ordered from Erodvd for several years now. My experience is mixed. Usually service is very good, sometimes quite disappointing. Erodvd claims that they will send the DVDs worldwide within a week after ordering and paying. That is very nice, but of course this guarantee stands or falls with (a) regularly updating the website on the availability of titles, (b) making sure that DVDs listed on the website are really in stock, and (c) if things go wrong informing the customer as soon as possible. But that is not Erodvd's policy. I think they keep stocks small, perhaps one or two copies of each title. If you order something that has gone out of stock, your order is processed as normal. No message to inform you that delivery will take longer. So you are waiting for a parcel that does not arrive. Worried you contact Erodvd. And then you get a laconic reply: "Yeah, I have received your order and payment. But the DVD is currently out of stock." Come on, that is no service!?
If you're still having problems with them - try BEP - in Czech republic - their service is excellent and less likely to attract attention from those lovely, lovely folk at customs
