I'm always reading about girls getting bolt-ons, and I recall Lela Star saying she got them because her naturals were starting to sag.
This makes me wonder why some girls don't get breast-lifts instead. Does the procedure leave terrible scars or something? I like the firm-natural type myself, so I'm all for girls hoisting those puppies so they stand at attention and salute.

typically these porn chicks don't want perkier breasts, they want bigger breasts. they want breasts that draw attention while wearing clothes. that takes size, not just a lift

Google breast lift surgery and the answer will become clear. Breast reduction or breast lift surgery is major surgery - you can see the entire procedure on You Tube if you like - cutting off nipples for repositioning, then major incisions, removal of flesh - lots of stitching and scarring - it is no procedure to be entered into lightly. "Hoisting those puppies" is no walk in the park.

The procedure is called mastopexy and I underwent it two years ago. It is a very invasive procedure and although there is no object placed inside, there are still risks involved. I had some fluid build-up that lasted longer than it probably should have. The results were very good but my recovery was long and sometimes less than comfortable.
In response to why women who have implants don't opt for this procedure more often I feel that it might because they really come from two different pools.
A. Mastopexy-These women tend to have sufferes the effects of life events. (sagging due to muscle fatigue, gavity, chidbirth, etc) but as such are usually not necessarily small breasted, I'm and medium "D" for instance. The mass of breast tissue that is available is sufficient and although surgeons claim that this procedure doesn't increase the size of the breasts, it indeed does have the effect of giving that appearance.
B. Breast augmentation-With some exceptions (breast cancer survivors) these women are often drawn from those who have smaller breasts to start with, thus there is no need to lift the breast and if that was done there would be nothing to lift. A "B" will still be a "B". Even with agmentation the results are unpredictable. Case in point is a good friend who tells of the story that after her first procedure she actually could have done as well with a good push-up bra. She, as a lot of others in her situation, went on to overcompensate and now on her third set of implants is huge by any standards. She's finally happy. All of the surgical uplifing in the world could not have achieved this.
