If the question is, "Have you ever dated a woman whom you realized later that you dated just for sex but you didn't know it at the time?" my answer would be "yes". That's not fair. They were mostly situations where I told them I just wanted to be FWBs. They agreed and I told myself that it was ok since everyone understood. Then at some point in the future it would become painfully obvious that they were just going along with it in the hopes that it would become a relationship. Then I would have to end it. I always wanted to be the guy that girls wanted to use as fuck-toy. However the reality is that I am just NOT that guy. There are tons of guys trolling bars and clubs everywhere who are more handsome and better "equipped" to do the job of FWB if that was what they truly wanted. Conversely, I was twice in relationships where we were having sex, but the girl was reluctant to commit. Both of those, however, were women in OTHER relationships looking for me to "save" them. The first became a very long-term girlfriend eventually and the second is my wife. I know I've certainly stayed in a relationship that had far outrun their course simply because the sex was good, or at least available anyway. [Link] |
