Click to expand It all depends on what kind of contract the girl has signed with the agency representing her, some allow agents to negotiate in their name, some use them only to get the job and negotiate the money themselves. Generally, an agent sends offers to various producers/websites etc. offering the talent. Hence girls with agents get more bookings, selfbooking you have to do that yourself, you do not always have the contacts and whatnot, or you rely on fans requesting you on various social media. Generally speaking, if you're not a big name in the industry selfbooking usually means less work. And it has been shown time and time again. In Hazel's case if I recall right, when she had no agent, it was due to her finishing school, I think she spoke about it on her old twitter, that she couldn't combine school and porn, so she shot only when she wanted to, and that was easier to do without agent. But this year Madison Summers who is practically "MIA" since the end of May (no activity/deleted all social media and even OF) got nominated of 2 AVN and 2 XBIZ awards. Some scenes of her were released during the summer and also this month but have been shot for sure before May. On her agency she is listed as available, but I think it her status is simply not updated even though recently they removed from their website Elle Lee and Quinn Wilde and not her. So she definitely didn't make any donation to magazines and why her agency should have bought noms for a models that seems completely out the industry and probably won't attend the awards ceremonies and isn't interacting with fans at all? I already wrote about Madison Summers noms in some models thread. As I already said there I have nothing against hair, she is one of my favs, I hope she is only on temporary hiatus and she totally deserved her norms for the great scenes released in the first part of the year; but judging how industry works why give visibility through awards noms to 99,9% retired performer? On the contrary this year, since she joined Spiegler agency, shot multiple times for all the big studios (Jules Jordan excluded, I hope she will shot for him soon) and even in Europe for Private; her social are constantly updated and finally stay online, before they got constantly deleted; she is available for everything.
