Is there any anal porn planned for the near future in HD-DVD? I'm hoping to see more. Jack's teen adventure 3 shows how HD can make porn so much better. Unfortunately it isn't my type of porn. The scene with the beautiful Lauren Phenoex was great but the rest were bland. I'm looking forward to real anal porn in HD. I know ZT has planned on releasing some HD stuff. I'm hoping some other studios will do the same. JJ has his stuff shot in HD so I'm hoping that he will release in HD-DVD.

Geese. Am I the only one who cares about seeing quality porn in HD? I don't think you guys know what your missing.
Actually I don't care too much about HD... and I'm predicting only mainstream porn will be HD for the foreseeable future, until HD production is cheap enough.
Not to be an a-hole, but just now widescreen porn is getting common. What makes you think HD-DVD is going to be released anytime soon?!
The porn industry is really outdated when it comes to new technology. I can understand though since I doubt there is any real demand for porn in widescreen. 75% of customers probably don't care.
That doesn't mean it shouldn't be made though. I'd sure love to see some HD porn.
Even in Japan they don't make any HD-DVD and blu-ray titles. Maybe 3 or 4 of them now..

Is it really that crazy to think that more porn companies will start to release HD porn when so much is already shot on HD cameras anyway. Is it really that crazy after watching Jack's Teen America in HD? HD is going to be a huge factor in future adult movies.
Hello? Porn revolutionized home entertainment in the 80's. It was the deciding factor between VHS vs Betamax. Porn was the catalyst for the world wide web. Porn was making money online long before anything else. Porn will more than likely also decide the HD format war even though I believe that we are presently moving much too slow towards one or the other. Many companies are shooting in HD and releasing anamorphic widescreen discs right now. Girlvana 3 will be a simultaneous DVD and HD-DVD release for us in June and I'm sure that you'll see many more companies moving in that direction.
In case you didn't notice..nobody was talking about the 80's here. I'm talking about current technology. Widescreen porn itself is a few years to late to begin with. That alone is proof. Where has it been all these years? I like the excuse that customers don't want it..
tmd5: isn't it all about making profit? if they improve the quality, make it widescreen, invest more money, whatever, what's the point if they're not making more money?
Porn in HD DVD..Wow!!! It can only get better from here on. I love anal porn and am waiting for some titles from Evil and RLD/PXP in HD. So you're in good company. Once anyone see porn in HD there's no going back.
The only reason why mainstream movies have been in widescreen, is that the primary intended viewing location of a movie is at a movie theater. Movie theaters have had wide screens for about 50 years.
The primary intended viewing location for porn is on a TV screen. Up until the last two or three years, when prices really started to drop, it was only a small minority of people who had widescreen TV's. Even now, I'd be willing to bet that the vast majority of people, who do have a widescreen HDTV in their home, still watch porn on a 4:3 TV.
I'm sure that there are exceptions, like me for example (although, if I didn't have a second HDTV in the bedroom as well as the larger one in the den, I would fall into the category of people who don't watch porn on their HDTV), but I'm also sure that it's a small exception.
Widescreen HD porn sucks. Nobody really knows how to shoot gonzo that way. Everybody's just trying to jump on the train, but there is NO reason for it creatively or even aesthetically. Unless you really want to see giant acne pits and ass pimples and ingrown hairs. Biggest BS in a long time, porn-wise.
The Sony cameras are garbage. And a decent camera, like the $12k Panasonic, is so freaking cumbersome it's very difficult to properly capture the action. I think anyone with a brain (like, say, Jonni Darkko) is going to wait for the smaller cameras to improve in image quality. That said, if you look at Bryan Xin's (shamefully uncredited) "Four Finger Club" (the new edition from NS), which was shot with the Panasonic, it looks p. fuckin' great ... but that thing is a beast to manuever.
hey skronker. i'm not trying to pick a fight with you, i'm just interested. what makes the Sony's garbage? I've seen some HD cams on ebay and amazon that are around $3-4000 that are small and arent cumbersome to maneuver. all of them are styled like the handheld "prosumer" camera's that's used in a lot of gonzo already. granted, they do have some fucking insanely priced and cumbersome HD cameras out there. just curious as to your opinion about the sony's.
Actually, compared to a Sony F900 or a Panasonic Varicam they might be shit but compared to the previous generation of SD cameras that they replaced (vx2000 and 2100) they are quite remarkable. Also, I'm afraid that I disagree about the Panasonic hvx being cumbersome. We used to shoot porn on Beta SP and Digibeta. Those cameras were cumbersome. The Panasonic is a walk in the park (and it's only 6k. The P2 cards are another 6k)
The only reason for the space race was so we could put satellites into space to broadcast porn to the whole world! Don't know what all the fuss is about HD, LCD, Plasma Screens etc etc.
Well... First off. I might finally get to see what kind lingerie Bree Olsen like to wear? And if she was either waxed or shaved. Seriously though. I dont know allot about this. But I found that a few of those Devils films shot in HD, looked pretty nice.
